I've been a faithful Orion user ( or part time user) for well over 4 yrs now. With each update I appreciate the new Gizmo thrown in. Which IMO really are quality plug-ins. But as far as being a stable host it's worst by far. I can pretty much count on Orion crashing during the middle of putting something together. I've never put a whole song together with it for that Reason, Reason/Live doing that portion of the job. Really Orion is good for quickly knocking out great sounding loops and MIDI patterns,a sketch pad really. Which I then Edit and arrange it Reason/Live. The Toxic a good new addition and since I'm good PAYING Computer Musician I appreciate it didn't cost me anything extra! Good show.

Yep, automation has been in patterns since day one. You can automate any part in the pattern, or automate in song mode, and, as Bones said, drag all events if you move patterns.

Im sure there are a couple, its been a while tho. One i def know, is saving single fxp's, which wasnt possible before, now you can save and load single fxp's. (good for sharing presets with non-Orion users)

BTW, i didnt even know this was out..... :?

Orion is becoming as bad as FL studio with all these updates. None of these updates are even essential to music making, just more eye-candy and unnecessary things that you don't need. :x

Ridiculous !!!!!!

I could'nt care less about this update. :x
f**k off and just be quiet!
lol dude that comment was so deadon under the circumstances

How about not having any new bugs counting as a bug fix?

Post

Well, Toxic 2 sure was a nice surprise... though I´d rather have PDC on the busses.

Rich is fast.. ;) There're also fixes for some recording crashes some people were having. Also possibly some fixes on Midiout, haven't checked yet.

I wonder why Rich decided on Toxic, rather than his own Hydra ? They are both excellent FM hybrids.

Cool update! It's always nice to get new free stuff, especially since I don't really have a decent FM synth in my arsenal. :hihi:

I find myself using OPlat more and more, Tracktion2 has been uninstalled for weeks and even eXT sees less use.. :-o

Here version 6 runs much more stable than former ones (I have more "let your vsts crash your host immediately" - problems now editing samples in Sony soundforge8b than with a song in Orion Plat :hihi: ).
The sampler is a wonderful one now. I appreciate the new functions that were added since I bought Orion Platinum VERY much.
And the new synth, hey, and that's for free! So many really great instruments now built into OP.
