Engl Powerball!!!! Dude! you know you want to...
Ooh and midiworks could I ask that you make detachable cab and mic options? Becuase I think that many people will agree with me that the cab and mike and placements are sometimes just as important as the amp.
For example could you do a really good Neumann tlm193 mic with an orange 4x12 cabinet? and let the user have the option of the exact mic placement like in greenmachine amp.

I think that it is the epitome of the high gain sound; defined, crunchy, present and has a good roar. The clip was from a guy called "Acle" on the meshuggah forum - he used an engl powerball (such an underrated amp) Engl 4x12 cabinet and Neumann tlm193 mic.
If you could please add the following things to this sim it would make my life complete lol:
Range of cabinets:
Orange 4x12
Genz Benz 4x12/2x12
Mesa 4x12/2x12
Engl 4x12
Bog standard brit cab for a more er.. british sound
And some decent high end mics such as some great neumanns and shure's - and let the user be able to move it. e.g on axis/of axis/distance/and general fine tuning of placement

Man... if those are representative of the Engl Powerball, then by all means... put in the Engl Powerball! Sounds like it'd be a great addition--and it's something you won't find in the other sims.
It's gotta have a solid Dual/Triple Rectifier, also.

If it was for some less driven models (yet capable of quite a decent crunch):
- Plexi
- Boogie Mark I/II
- Cranked Bassman
- AC30
- Matchless
If you still need more driven models, I'd also consider a Soldano SLP 100 or some VHT Pitbull.
Btw, I'd also recommend adding some overdrive/boost pedal. DS-1, Tubescreamer, Treble Booster and something along the more modern lines, such as the Fulltone OCD (which has got to be the single most brilliant drive unit in the world for my taste).
And finally, a wah should be included as well. No need to mention it'd better sound like a CryBaby.
And while I'm at it, you should think about how to deal with them sounds.
Just a basic preset selector via prg. changes seriously wouldn't make it for me. Things should be completely user-defineable by both MIDI learn and a modulation matrix of some sorts.
I would also recommend including some of the most common FX. Not because there aren't enough allready but simply to give them a consistent layout and treatment (MIDI assignments, etc). Think about live useage - in that case you don't want to fool with multiple FX units but have it all under control at once.
FX I'd like to see would be chorus/flanger, tremolo/pan, phaser, delay and reverb. Of course something else like a foot controllable pitch shifter (Whammy, yum!) wouldn't hurt either, but IMO it's not as essential.
Reverb doesn't need to be anything special, even if a spring model would help tremendously if you are after a vintage sound.
Delays and probably the modulation FX should have a tap-tempo function a la Boss (they're calculating the best tempo out of 4 taps).
Tap Tempo should have an optional global mode, so when switching presets, the tempo settings won't get lost (a massive oversight on a true shitload of hardware FX units).
The whole thing should probably have a utility mode which you could use to sort sounds into categories - and those "groups" should have a bunch of common parameters you could tweak. Too much highs today on your clean sounds? Just enter your "clean" group and reduce them globally. Not enough gain for your crunchy sounds? Dito... etc etc.
Of course, ALL these recommendations are only valid if you intend to do something that is made for live useage as well.
If you solely think of it as a studio tool they are redundant. But in that case things would be a bit less interesting for me personally.
