Anybody experience the T2 stock parametric EQ causing the CPU meter to peg at about 90% while the EQ GUI itself stops working, and playback goes all haywire?

It just started happening after having worked fine for months. I tried playing with the settings and nothing fixes it. Swapping it out for a 3rd party eq eliminated the problem. It also caused the "wet mix" of the stock reverb to become unusable.

I use Ts eq quite a lot. It aint a bad sounding eq, and I like having the eq curve visible in the filter section. I don't think I've ever known the eq to misbehave. :?

Are you using a older P4? Could this be a denormal problem?

Was the signal you were sending the eq on the hot side? I'm usually careful to keep track levels below 0dB, as some plugs can freak out when given to high an input level, so I probably wouldn't have noticed if the T Eq died with loud track levels.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Sometimes in a busy, cpu intensive mix adding a new EQ causes problems like this for me. I just think it is because I reached the limit of my machine. Maybe it is something else.

Signal to the eq was below 0dB, and the mix was just 8 tracks. Weird. I wonder if it could be a conflict with another piece of software. I don't have the luxury of a dedicated audio computer.
