Yes, I use ogg as often as possible, but I wouldnt use any of them in serious collabs. I use it more for sending mixes etc. Even if .ogg is becoming more popular mp3 is still too much of a standard..

The new filter menu is a little slow and glitchy here but I think I get used to it. The graphic seems to get stuck for some milliseconds (EDIT: Tried it again, it´s almost stuck for a second sometimes). Would be great to be able to set how fast it will jump between the folders..

Yes, the properties panel can be hidden. It´s very quick and non-glitchy too. With a keycommand it gets even more excellent! I have managed songs with about 20-25 tracks without too much of a trouble in earlier versions, but now I think 35-40 tracks is no problem. Folder tracks would still be great though...

I think a midicontroller will be the next investment for me. The new support seems easy and it´s always fun tweaking real knobs! :)

You can hide the inputs, filter section, and properties panel, or all three.

MIDI Loop Recording: Create and build MIDI clips in loop record mode much like the way you can with audio files.

It is always nice to get a free upgrade that not only fixes bugs, but adds new and worthwhile features. It will be hours before the download is complete (currently 2.2kb sec)

It would be nice to hear from Mackie when tracktion will support the new intel-macs.

Looking forward to trying the new version. I never downloaded the previous one.

I got 18mb and the file corrupted..I suppose I better wait till all the state side peeps go to bed.

Regarding the new selection menu-- patience is a virtue. It's simply not "snappy" right now, so as long as you linger for a moment at the arrow of the hierarchy you want to expand, your patience will be rewarded. ;) I hate the laggy feel to it, but I Loooooove the new system, so I'm not switching back to the old way any time soon!

I'll probbaly have to wait till tomorrow to DL (I'm eager to see if these plugins, namely the reverb, are worth more than a glance, too), but based on the notes:

Love the MIDI loop record---conspicuously absent from the previous versions. I'll use that one daily.

Opening the full screen for tracks is one of the biggest things absent from 2.1 in my opinion since it's bone simple and would make a huge difference. Can't understand that one not making the list.

I'm somewhat disappointed in the bug fixes since there are still pain in the ass problems with MIDI hangups with external gear, misplaced notes when MIDI clips are merged, etc. Maybe those are gone now, but the notes didn't mention it. Also a big problem with hangups when ReWiring GS3.

And the damn GUI click-through issue with some plugins!!! :x :x That one is major for me because it badly affects Refined Audiometrics products.

Instead I'm seeing French and German language bug fixes. That's fine, but wouldn't it make sense to sort out bugs that potentially affect everyone first?

You can hide the inputs, filter section, and properties panel, or all three.
If that's true then a big hooray and I stand corrected.

Consider it confirmed. I actually got two emails, one for the update and one for the new effects. Check your MyMackie account. After just a quick look at it it seems to use less cpu than a few of the others I have and has a lot of adjustable parameters, really nice eq. I'm also lovin' the stereo 6 band eq.

I am state-side, and I've been waiting for you guys to go to bed.

Mackie's servers are useless. They need to look into mirrors or torrents or something. If there was a torrent, we'd all have had it hours ago. At this rate I might as well wait until next week or something. :x

"Custom Control Surface Creation: Control Tracktion's transport, navigation, options, and channels via your favorite low-cost hardware controller, or even the sliders, buttons, and keys on your MIDI controller keyboard."

Does this mean I can stomp on the pedals of my PODxt Live to start/stop playback/recording and abort and such?
