Weird. I was getting 150K/s. :P

Post

wow..mp3 export!! Just what I wanted! 12% now....

Tim, while you're waiting for the download, go find the latest stable LAME. If you already have it installed, just ignore me. ;)

Reminder re: MP3 and LAME. For Tracktion to recognize Lame.exe after you've assigned it (from within Tracktion), you will need to exit Tracktion and re-start it. I don't think there's a warning dialogue telling you to do so, but do so you must!

Where do I go:?: the makie page has no clues!

Once you've logged in it should take you to a list of your registered products. Click on Tracktion v2. That should take you to the page with the download links. "Tracktion Windows - Full Install w/Examples" is the one you want if you are running Windows. "Tracktion MacOS - Full Install w/Examples" if Mac OS.

Log into my.mackie.com, click on the Tracktion V2 link and you're there.

Pack a lunch, though -- it's gonna be a while. :(

7.93kbs..........pretty much a waste of time, if it get's much slower I won't bother. This has gotta be down to the crap Mackie servers surely?
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

I suspect the servers themselves are fine. Their server admin has probably limited bandwidth for this particular function. Which would blow. :(

More than likely, which begs the question, why with updates, do they need to include all the samples each time? Seems pointless to me when people have already got them, and without them, it'd make things easier for everyone.

Yes it's pretty stupid waste of bandwith. Definitely separate d/ls for

- documents (24,1 Mb when installed)
- examples (11,1 Mb when installed)

Not strictly a FR, but a worthwhile one I reckon

Agreed. Mackie ought to give existing users the option to just upgrade the damn program.
Coffee please, black, no sugar.
