That's good news. Hope it won't be as buggy as the rig kontrol that comes with GR2. I wonder if it 2ms for Input latency + 2ms for Output latency (=>4ms), or 2ms total... not that it makes much difference, 4ms is unnoticeable (to me) while playing."Additionally StompIO sports super fast custom audio drivers with ultra-low latency tailored for the most demanding live play. At only 2mS, they are 30% quicker than the fastest card on the market."

Oh dear. what about RME and 1.5ms(64samples) latency then? Don't wanna nitpick or anything... oh wait I do wanna nitpick. I just hate the IK bullshit."Additionally StompIO sports super fast custom audio drivers with ultra-low latency tailored for the most demanding live play. I think they mean amongst the offboard ( extrenal ) cards. Still, misleading advertising, IKMM style.Additionally StompIO sports super fast custom audio drivers with ultra-low latency tailored for the most demanding live play. At only 2mS, they are 30% quicker than the fastest card on the market.
Btw, this SuperStopm IO device is getting uglier and uglier the more I look at it. Why the heck they went for freaking PURPLE?!!! It looks like a gimmick!
I thought Italien designers have more taste and style than that!

That's some ugly IO box. <shudders> Regarding latency-- are the "custom drivers" the ones for live usage? Ie. are they still ASIO-compliant and able to work in your ASIO host? If not, that's ALSO misleading.
The TonePort, as an example, has its "ToneDirect" system, which uses a proprietery driver that operates parallel to the ASIO driver. The proprietary driver delivers processed sounds directly back to the TonePort for "near-direct" monitoring. It might as well be "direct" since there not even a hint of perceptible latency. Of course, logic dictates that there's SOME, since the effects are getting processed; however, it really does seem as "direct" as a hardware effects unit. When I monitor the ASIO signal at the same time, even at 5ms ASIO latency (which is pretty zippy, IMO) I can notice a big difference.
And I don't even have ToneDirect set at its fastest buffers.
Point being: I hardly think that the 2ms is "astounding" enough to warrant IK promoting it as something that "no other card" offers.

At this point...(134 pages)...if AT2 didn't bear your children, it would be a disappointment for many...
Me, I'm just a stupid guitarist who thinks it seems to be pretty cool...and I have lots of other things to occupy my time until I do get it.
And for the record, I'm an IK/SR fanboy...yup...I happen to love their stuff and have yet to be disappointed...
In fact, I can't think of a single thing I've got (DAW wise) that I don't like...
Maybe I'm just easy to please or maybe I'm just a Forrest Gump

I'll give the AT2 demo a try (if there IS a demo!), but looks like I'm leaning towords the POD/Toneport or Vox/Tonelab tabletop at this point! The idea of using a floorboard when I'm chillin at my DAW doesn't appeal to me. Suprised haven't seen anything too innovative being released in the guitar-DAW arena except USB based crap.

I have the toneport (up to the podxt with model packs) and it's cool. But AT2 looks to be able to use a boatload of stomps and cabs and stuff together....

If Line 6 gets their act together and allows you to run one physical signal (eg. one guitar plugged into the instrument input) into 2 channels of sim, there will be 753,424 combinations possible.
And that's not even including effects, and only the TonePort's included amps/cabs. That doesn't include the optional add-on packs.
Since I didn't want to wait for it to happen in software, I got a Radial splitter and now have all of that, plus the amp switching ability that the splitter was originally meant for except that I have 2 virtual amps instead of 2 real amps.
AT2 DOES seem like it could have the potential to be silly-good, though, so I'm still quite curious.
