need help trying to setup an evolution UC-33 controller

Like the title says!

Ive got tracktion 2. My UC-33 hooked up via USB, but I just cannot figure out for the life of me how to get tracktion to recognize my UC-33

my goal is to get the UC-33 to emulate the MCU as closely as possible. Each column (3 knobs and 1 slider) to pertain to 1 track. Have two buttons transpose through the tracks ala MCU.

As well as to get other buttons to do stuff like play, stop, 'go back to start' and some other cool stuff that I think might be impossible due to what Ive learned from a search of this forum.

anyone know how to do this? I tried to do a search but didnt find anything as elementary as this. If this has been covered already I do apologize.

I hope I dont have to buy something expensive like the MCU which I have been eyeing, but maybe in the end it might be worth it.

Before giving any instructions, an important question: Do you have the latest Tracktion (2.1.0.6)? Any answers will depend entirely on this.

Indeed. Just played around with the new controller mappings for my UC-33 last night, and it works a treat. Finally, working FF and REW! And I can ditch BOME's Midi Translator as a workaround. (Sob... bye buddy. You were a good little program.)

In short:

1. Get Tracktion 2.1.0.6 .

2. Settings tab, click control surfaces.

3. Click "add custom control surface".

4. Select the new custom control surface, click "edit control settings". From there on, it's pretty easy. (Just make sure buttons are set up to send midi CC codes and not MMC.)

the answer is no. I havent upgraded yet

so lets say I have upgraded, and I have a project with 22 tracks, the UC-33 only has 8 sliders. Can I transpose through the tracks so I can automate each and every tracks volume, panning etc with the UC33? Like on more expensive control surfaces?

Yes. There is a command group called "switch fader bank", that allows you to move the "control range" by 1, 4 or 8 tracks at a time. You can control volume, pan, 1 aux send, as well as things like mute, solo, and record arm.
