MrM sorry I didn't reply sooner. Posting only my Xmas tube settings won't help you much as the post EQing plays a major role. I'll make a proper package with appropriate screenshots.
I've polished a bit of the high end fizz occuring in my last example, here's the result (tone 1). I tried a different tone with a single EQ, but I'm not sure about this one (UniH). Need your opinion guys.

So let me get this straight.Midiworks wrote:The results:
- Engl Powerball 7
Will do my best to get my hands onto one.
- JCM 800 6
Ok
- Carvin Legacy 4
Ok
- Matchless 4
or
- Soldano SLO 4
guitarjeff ???
- Bogner Uberschall 3
No, 1 Bogner is enough atm.
these all are great amp....
- Plexi 3
- Boogie Mark I/II 3
- AC30 3
- Boogie Mark IV 2
maybe as add-ons ?
Any thoughts ?
The verdict is:
1. Diezel VH4
2. Bogner Xtc
3. Dual Rectifier
4. 5150
5. Engl Powerball
6. JCM 800
7. Carvin Legacy
8. Matchless or Soldano SLO
and this is the "Drive" amp part.
Of cuorse more amps can be added with the add-ons.
Well, I can only say nice collection for the so called "Drive" amp part section.
....
OK and now the clean part
Which ones and How many.... In my opinion we need at least five of them...
Will there be a clean amp part?

Here is the DualRecti clean.

and the Carvin clean again:
channel without EQ, but bright on.

I guess I need to fine select.
Since my new engine works so fantastic,
I really need to re-think my whole strategy.

so I guess the idea of a twin is out???? A Carvin Legacy, but no twin...it seems yet another developer aiming at a target group...anyone under 25...amplitube sure showed their colors with the obvious attempt to real in straight males under 25...Rene you're doing it too....as much as the plexi was love and the 800 was loved, there were many who consider the Fender twin as one of best vintage amps....but we are the people who do not need gobs of distortion and gain to "shred" and for ffs, they're is as many of us over say 35 buying amps as under(plus we tend to have a little more money)...we do not count I guess Rene?...If I'm missing the twin pluggin let me know, otherwise how can you ignore it?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

My words out of your mouth man. I always thougt Rene is doing the drive thing first and the clean next. An amp thing with no Twin or any other clean classicis just no good for me.....Hink wrote: there were many who consider the Fender twin as one of best vintage amps....but we are the people who do not need gobs of distortion and gain to "shred" and for ffs

I don't think that MW is able to produce the subtlety needed for clean amp-sims.Hink wrote:so I guess the idea of a twin is out???? The 'clean' carvin model sounds like a DIed guitar with some EQ on it and a dab of mild distortion. It doesn't sound like a clean guitar amp.
I'd hazard a guess that this plug is simply a distortion device followed by heavy EQing. Take the distortion out of that equation and you're left with nothing but EQing, hence the difficulty with authentic-sounding clean amps.

Also, it'd be interesting (if anybody can be bothered) to compare the even/odd order harmonics created by this plug in relation to whether it's supposed to be modelling a tube or solid state amp.
