Is Muse Research working in partnership with Native Instruments on the new Core product? If so, can you compare & contrast Core with Receptor? Thanks!

ps- I noticed the screen shots of Core on the NI site are linked to a KVR url and Muse is part of the url; thus the question.

since when Naive Instruments actually uses a "C" instead of a "K" to name their products? jute curious..

As far as I know, KORE uses the PC's processor. The controller box has an audio interface built in, but does no processing per se.

Of course, I've read contrasting blurbs so I could be wrong...

As to why Muse is part of the url, Muse runs KVR...

Ah, did not know Muse ran KVR. Thanks for that.

KORE is a USB control surface and audio interface. You can use it with a Mac or PC, you have physical knobs and an audio interface, but you run the plug-ins on your Mac or PC.

You can probably achieve similar results by running plug-ins on your Mac or PC and using a different control surface and audio interface. KORE and the NI plug-ins will be already designed to work well with each other, while you might have to spend time programming another control surface.
