snooky, no offense, but if you dislike Waves & SSL, then why are you responding to this thread and ruining our fun ?

Every commercial recording (that was recorded in a high end studio) is generally mixed on a Neve or SSL desk and it is the sound that most of us are striving for, thus having the tools at our fingertips would be of interest to us.

So ... PLEASE let's stop provoking snooky and get back to talking about the new Waves plugins ... :D

Kind Regards

I wonder if anyone is working on - or has thought of - making a host that is completely modelled after analog desks/gear? Now I know some people get miffed at the idea of software always trying to emulate hardware, and I agree that you should have totally new innovations, but wouldn't it be cool to have a host where all the strips were SSL/Neve/etc inspired? All the included plug-ins were URS-quality EQs, compressors, reverbs, etc?

I wonder if anyone's up to that...
I have definitely thought about this ! Very good idea. Just imagine every channel receives a modelling plugin that models an SSL desk channel, and each channel has a full channel strip based on SSL consoles. Imagine being able to switch between SSL and Neve models ... man I can't stop drooling lol

I wish it happens, I like Samplitude's built in FX, theres a really nice compressor and saturator there and they sound fantastic.

Maybe we're just dreaming mate :D

Take care

As always, one can dream...hey, if you buy enough UAD-1 cards, maybe!

I thought the was the concept behind Saw... I don't know how far he took it with analog circuit emulation though.

Really? Huhn. It's been about 10 years since I used that, I can't recall. Any SAW users?
