If I select Realtime Priority Mode it will deselect itself as soon as I open any project or just navigate to a different page.
This makes 2.1 useless for me.
I reinstalled the old version for now.
Is it just me?
Can somebody confirm this ..... PLEASE

RealTime Priority Mode helps A LOT with such low latencies.

Quick question, that's maybe a bit odd - the settings gui shows real-time priority mode as being deselected, right? But is it actually turned off? If you try and record in 2.1.0.6, is it behaving as if Real-time priority is turned off? Or is it just that the button doesn't show it as being turned on?
Because I've found the following - If I set it to "On", then close Tracktion, and check the settings file, Realtime is set to 1. If i set it to off, then close Tracktion, and check the settings file, realtime is set to 0.
So i wonder if it's just the code that puts a dot in the gui that's knackered, and not the code that actually enables or disables the feature. Check if your settings file is set to 1 or 0.

Ok, i've found this too. If you go to the settings page, and change other settings, and close T, tracktion doesn't change the value in the Settings file for Realtime.
If it's set to 1, it stays at 1. If it's set to 0, it stays at 0.
It only changes in the settings file if you actually click on the button for realtime priority itself.
In other words, just going to the settings screen doesn't change the setting for realtime priority mode in the settings file .... so ...
1) Try going to settings, clicking on Realtime, then immediately close Tracktion. Check the settings file is set to 1, by opening it in a text editor and searching for realtime.
2) Then open tracktion again, and open a project and work on it. Does it behave as if Realtime priority mode is turned on?
If so, great, just ignore the button, it's just a gui problem, and you can safely ignore it until Ben and the team get it sorted. If not, ah well, it was worth a try.

ps, the settings file is in your application data folder on xp, which is typically here;
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Tracktion
You need to turn on "show hidden files and folder" to be able to see the application data folder, in the Tools / Folder Options / View / Show hidden files and folders setting in windows Explorer.
