The video sure has me psyched. The Stomp I/O has a standalone mode! That alone could do it for me.
Come on February!

Come on, Midiworks, this is really bad style. Sure, you are entitled to your opinion, but as long as you are developing a competing product, you should not come to this thread and bash AT2 all the time. What would you say if IKMM would send their trolls to your KvR-thread...?Midiworks wrote:![]()

Hm... Squids, sorry to be a pain in the a.... But: if it would be out in February, shouldn't the presets be done by now? I was under the impression that the production of a physical package, the DVD master etc. takes at least a few weeks...?Squids wrote: The presets aren't all the final ones. But, there are some really great ones in there for sure. I am working on presets for it as well.

It was. Actually, Jimi's daughter came by the booth! She liked it. So did her husband who was the guitarist for Earth Wind & Fire. Sheldon rocks! He was doing some Jimi H-esque licks with Larry Dunn in the booth. That FUZZFACE in AT2 is worth the price alone to me... (literally because I paid about the same as you'd pay for AT2 when I bought that pedal!!!!Lunch Money wrote:I thought the "are you experienced" bit, while related to what he was saying ('experience helps') was mainly a tip of the hat to Jimi.

I for one wish Midiworks the best of luck with his development projects. He may not like me or IK or this product and that's okay if that is the case. But, there is no animosity from my side. I hope there isn't the need from his side.tq wrote:Come on, Midiworks, this is really bad style. Tell you what Squids...if you can get the same presets that this pedal has and this pedal has...well, I'll be a happy beergeek!Squids wrote:It was. Actually, Jimi's daughter came by the booth! GregAlthough I MAY even sell it now that I have it modeled... dare I say that the model- due to its reliability and lack of radio station interference- is BETTER than the original????

By NAMM? No. By February? Yes. It isn't being released Feb 1st. But it will be released IN February. My guess is that will be toward the end of the month. Could be sooner. I doubt later at this point.tq wrote:Hm... Squids, sorry to be a pain in the a.... But: if it would be out in February, shouldn't the presets be done by now? Also, FYI, when we do products like Sonik Synth 2 etc. we do presets all the way up to the last possible moment to give it as much as we can. I am sure making presets for AT2 can be an endless amount of fun! You'd have to pull me off of it!
I think we'll keep going even after the powers that be say "stop". We'll do a special set of presets you can get exclusively from www.esoundz.com That way I can even take requests in the SR forum perhaps on certain sounds... see if I can nail it or not!
Btw, I don't think I changed my post earlier. If I do it tends to just be some quick grammer/spelling mistakes which annoy me. Sometimes a choice of words though.

Pop quiz time. You can tell a beergeek is happy if:beergeek wrote:well, I'll be a happy beergeek!
1) its nose is warm and dry
2) its nose is cold and wet
3) its nose is stuck in a mug
Okay, I admit this is an easy one. :-) I'm not even a beergeek and I have to answer "3."

Btw, BG, I don't have those pedals to compare. But, if I can get hold of then I would attempt to do it even for my own enjoyment. I like Clapton and Hendrix. A friend of mine actually knows Clapton pretty well because he plays pool with him at the local pub in Guildford. The bastard!

The way I understood it, only AT2 the sofware part is going to be released on february. There was no specific mention of the StompIO release date. The video sure has me psyched. The Stomp I/O has a standalone mode! That alone could do it for me. Come on February!

Cool. Being picky is OK me thinks. You're picky, too.Squids wrote:Okay. I know it is a matter of opinion but in my opinion anyone who says AT2 didn't sound AMAZING at the show is a little picky
Yeah. Sure.Squids wrote:I listened to all of the amp sim demos to compare and AmpliTube 2 smoked them all. Sure, I am biased.
Man, that's my style. Absolutely. Whatever the great product is in the end.Squids wrote:I really don't care what anyone thinks. A great product is a great product. People should know about it.
Cool man. Jeff was there, too. I respect him. You're putting him off. You do know better. And for such statements my respect for you is shrinking. Sorry man.Squids wrote:Someone can report to you and say whatever they want but I was there and saw it/heard it myself.
Squids wrote:AT2 is really amazing. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. You'll be missing out.
I don't let anybody convince me that it is great. I will give it a test drive and hear for myself. The audio demos I heard until now are mediocre. Nothing to get really excited about.
All the best, FRitz
In the end will be the word.
