Meffy likes being obtuse. I believe it's all in the name of humour or so it seems.
But I just want to know if Squids has ever been out drinking with Keif? Drinking tea that is and waxing on and on with the man on Keif's favorite lierary work, Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire......

Squids wrote:YOU are reality? Fritz, please stop pointing your attacks at me. Talk about the plug-ins and what you know (which is obviously just NI stuff since you work(ed) for them).fritzman wrote: And no, I'm not trolling you. I'm giving your over-the-top marketing style a notch back to reality. And I kept myself away from this thread mostly for the last weeks.
Best wishes, FRitz
No,
I'm not reality. But as Hink also pointed out I don't want to be prejudiced by you about AT2. I want to try it myself. Like Jeff did. Like you did. Simple, he?
All the best, FRitz
P.S. You know only Rolling Stones stuff, since you hung around with them backstage. You see? Very clever. That was a pretty lame and unsubstantial attack of you.
I am a guitar player for 26 years now and I worked for NI for 2 years and back then they didn't even think about guitar rig. Go figure ...
In the end will be the word.

You're right. daGuru can just Google "Dave Kerzner" and you'll get some links that way. It took enough time to just list that but to provide links to everything would take a while.Meffy wrote:Ha! You didn't "point to examples of their works." Who are these so-called "Rolling Stones," anyway? One of those rocking teenage combos?Squids wrote:Neil Finn/Crowded House, Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Crowes, Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow (lots of Crows, Lyle Workman (guitarist for Sting, Beck), Jon Anderson (Yes), Peter Gabriel, Ziggy Marley, Lenny Kravitz, Bono/Edge, L. It isn't a contest anyway of how much experience one has or not. I don't really have to defend how my experience may have taught me all about how I can appreciate a great guitar amp and effect sound! I know for my own benefit what I like! (just like hopefully you do too because all of this only matters for use in YOUR music anyway). But, at least I have something to say to back it up. Meanwhile, we don't really know much about those who choose to get on my case now do we? daGuru, care to share your experiences in music?
I've seen some other people's web sites and heard their music so I have an idea of where some of you are coming from. But, it is always interesting to know more about people on this forum, given the anonymous nature of it all.

Anyway, I live for this kind of stuff. Gear talk, the killer tones... why do you think I have the energy to do my megaposts? (although I have a company to run here so I better get back to it... everyone else working on loops... I am in the SR main room now so I really am screwing off here!!!! Back to samples I go!).
Cheers!
Lastly, yes, by all means of COURSE everyone should try AT2 for themselves and not take MY word for it. Did I EVER say that I expected anyone to "just listen to me and not judge for yourself"? I don't think so. Please don't twist my words. Thanks.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Beardedone: Just trading japes with Squids, for whom I've a lot of respect. :-) Lame joke, I know. My excuse will be that the anxiety of waiting for AT2 to arrive has addled my sense of humor.

Sidenote here... I just came from a tour of studio (with my sons Grade 11 music class) whose primary business is sound editing for television. It was interesting to note that due to timeframes that they work to, they seldom record music live anymore. Much of the music is done with samples and they mentioned that their sample library was 500 gigs in size. The other surprising thing (well maybe not) is that Amplitube plays a pretty important role in their sound production.

is not the size that mattersMelodioso wrote:My sample library is bigger than 500 gigs... of course, VSL is the main culprit...darcyb62 wrote:...and they mentioned that their sample library was 500 gigs in size.

Try running VSL through AT2!Melodioso wrote:My sample library is bigger than 500 gigs... of course, VSL is the main culprit...darcyb62 wrote:...and they mentioned that their sample library was 500 gigs in size.
Actually, I used to play with a cellist who ran it through stomp boxes and he sounded like Hendrix on that thing. We used to play with Lili Hadyn who played violin and shredded it up on that as well (she has an album on Atlantic where we recorded with Chad Smith from Chili Peppers, she also sat in with Page/Plant live which was cool to see as well... Zep fans? How would YOU like to sit in with them? I know I would.).
