I think you might get some good results. It is fun to experiment with it. You'll be able to do that next month Gordy! Overall, the emulations are pleasing in AT2. There are always little things the original does (for better or worse I may say) that no model is probably going to emulate (certain odd noises, interference, overload rattle etc.). But, for me there are a lot things that I spend time in the studio to avoid (like what I mentioned about my Fuzzface which picks up radio stations... cute but kind of annoying actually).
There were good reactions from the guitarists at NAMM about the responsiveness and sound in general. It drew some pretty big crowds too. Quite entertaining!
