Don't worry. Pretty soon you'll have to buy the boxed version as well. One day...no more download upgrade...
By that time though, Jo at Mutools might have finished his little pet project

assholes
I never got the chance to upgrade to the boxed version, even though I owned T1.

I think all this is still related to the non-US rebate. Most of us, I think, would be sitting with our boxed versions chatting about how nice the plugins were right about now.

gays....all of you. You should be making music with plastic pipes and hammers and manly anger, not this electronic "ohh..i don't want to break a fingernail
" rubbish.

dont get me wrong, im not angry at Mackie at all, but i know i read that those plugs were going to be available along time ago and no mention of being a boxed owner was made at all. I just want confirmation that were not getting them.

Those of us who didn't ( or couldn't ) buy the boxed version are now the embarrassing ginger stepchildren of the Mackie world, to be ignored and kept upstairs when visitors come round.

Quote from Mackie's Tracktion Website:
(Emphasis by me)* Plug-in bundles subject to change without notice. Some plug-ins listed are exclusive to the boxed Tracktion 2 bundle available from select retailers.

Is there anybody who can't buy the boxed version? I think I remember there were lot's of people that couldn't upgrade to the boxed version for the $80 or whatever the amount was, but anybody can buy the boxed version out-right, yes, or no?dry bones wrote:Those of us who didn't ( or couldn't ) buy the boxed version are now the embarrassing ginger stepchildren of the Mackie world, to be ignored and kept upstairs when visitors come round.
The on-line upgrade from T1 was $20, correct? Any one of the plugs that Mackie just released would be worth $20, on top of the already good deal to up T1 to T2 for $20.
Crossinger's finding of the plugin bundle quote pretty much sums it up I think.
I highly doubt there will be a $20 T2 to T3 upgrade offer!!!
We're all addicts now....

Yupp, but it must be stressed that I'm not pissed by this policy. The upgrade to T2 for $20 (Euro even less) is a steal and there are enough free & low price alternatives to these plugins out there (at least all of us got "Final Mix"rockstar_not wrote:Crossinger's finding of the plugin bundle quote pretty much sums it up I think.
So what are my wishes for the future? I doubt if there will be a 2nd "cheap" upgrade from T2 to T3 one day. We all have to buy a boxed version then. I just hope that the upgrade path will be easy and straightforward for people outside the US.

I doubt there will a $20 upgrade next time either (fair enough), but if there's no upgrade path at all for us T1>T2 downloaders then ... I don't know ... I'll probaly stick with T2 and get my eXT chops up to speed.Crossinger wrote:I doubt if there will be a 2nd "cheap" upgrade from T2 to T3 one day. We all have to buy a boxed version then. And I'm not too hopeful about upgrades for us non-US people, if they couldn't sort it this time then why should they in the future?
Still like Tracktion a lot, not so hot on how it's marketed anymore.
