Ok asha, I'll have to poke around some more, see what could possibly be wrong. You shouldn't need any special runtimes or anything (as you would if it was a VB program for instance) so I really don't know at the moment.

Has it listed the plugs under the edits (ie. just the summary is blank) or has it completely ignored all the plugs?
Maybe i've written this too specifically, only works with my file organisation scheme...
I'll look into it and add that 'job done' msg. too.
If anyone else wants to give it a bash, I'd be grateful.

Thanks for all the feedback.
I'm heartened to see it runs now for morelia so maybe i'm on the right track.
I assume you all have .trkedit files in the folder/sub-folders you specified? (yeah, clutching at straws...
)
If anyones willing, I'll hack together a test version (after the weekend) that dumps a log file, then i can see exactly what's being processed.

I first ran it on D:\Audio thinking it would pick up the .trkedit files in sub directories but that was the first error I reported. The last time I tried when the .txt file was generated successfully was when I selected the directory that contained the .trkedit file.GaryG wrote:I assume you all have .trkedit files in the folder/sub-folders you specified? I'm drawing a bit of a blank so far... Is there any chance of you sending me one of your .trkedit files?Mr. Tingle wrote:Ok I found the text file.
It lists all the edits but the plug summary is blank.
I'd hate to think T changes the format of the trkedit files between releases...

Thanks Mr.Tingle, lots of good stuff in your edit file that causes weird behaviour (chunks of VSTDATA, elements in different case to my edits for some reason...)
My initial hacking has resulted in TFAT not listing any filters on any edits so i wouldn't hold your breathe for another release soon...

Ok, had some time to hack this around so a new version here.
As before, creates a text file (tfat.txt) listing all the plugs in your edits but this file is now created in the 'start' directory of your search not the system temp folder.
I want to change this, maybe have the list displayed on screen for you to copy/paste/do with what you will.
I also need to add further folder recursion for those of us who have more than one level of folders (y'know, something like d:\tracktion\artist\album\song...)
Exe zipped to get past those pesky firewalls.
Feedback gratefully received...
cheers,
