Speaking about Amplitube2 and IKMM, they still have two days left to ship CSR. Let
's see how well they will execute the "by the end of january" date. On a side note, funny thing, IKMM have removed the chick intro from www.amplitube.com.
On another note, Squids, do you know if IKMM will change the colors on the StompIO before releasing it? Do they realise that it looks like a toy? :-/ ( even though it might be a geat piece of hardware )

Greg, just to avoid confusion. To IKMM when it comes to Amplitube 2, DSM means "Dynamic Saturation Modeling", it that thing that is supposed to behave like real analog amps depending on level of signal.DSM just means "Digital Signal Modelling", as far as I know. Boss and IK will have 2 entirely different technologies.

I'm not sure if I completely forgot this because it's so ...... eh well read for yourself (copied straight from the above linked site):
Boah, baad traditional emulation! Poor current technology. Boooohhhh ...amplitube.com wrote: Traditional emulation results in a distorted signal with artifacts even at low level (A), because of the limitation of current technology which is not able to dynamically adapt to the various circuitry status.
Ah yes, this sounds so logical. Doesn't it?amplitube.com wrote:On the contrary DSM emulation at low level of circuit driving is able to dynamically adapts and reproduce the signal with the same behaviour a real analog circuit would do and therefore without introducing any noticeable artifacts.
Yes, it's better because it's better. I understand THAT!amplitube.com wrote:Even at a high levels of driven signal DSM performs better, because at high-level of signal driving DSM performs better, ...
amplitube.com wrote:because it ensures for a more natural saturation and smooth clipping than what normally achieved by traditional emulation (B) just like the response of real analog or tube circuitry.

And everybody sees the obvious difference. Can you see it? Can you see it? Man, don't tell me you can't see it'!!! Just look at the marked areas: Man, it must sound like s*** with that traditional emulation stuff.
COOL!!! That will be easily audible in the demo. Looking forward to it.amplitube.com wrote:DSM’s dynamic response follows that of real circuitry with an accuracy that cannot be found in any other hardware and software gear today, reproducing all the signal nuances of the analog circuits it emulates with a realism never heard before.
Interesting marketing to say the least.
All the best and have fun, FRitz
In the end will be the word.

Can I get just the dongle? I'll be buying GR2 soon but that doesn't come with one

I hear the dongle emulation is spot on. It's more analog than all of the current dongle emulations combined. Too bad you'll miss out.cptgone wrote:Can I get just the dongle? I'll be buying GR2 soon but that doesn't come with one
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

yeah my marshall pre and sansamp just do that naturally...but to do it digitally is really cool...just what my guitar sound needs, more digital processing, soon my tone will so sterile you could do surgery with it....Midiworks wrote:Very cool ! XmasTube does that too and even more.![]()

actually a life long joke for me has been my line of dr hinks magic cremes...I got one for whatever ails you...got a sore throat? "sounds lke you need dr hinks magic throat creme"...that's how I would always say...someone says "I hurt my hand"..."sounds like you need dr hinks magic hand crem.
I use to live in a high rise, a new girl moved in with her mother....at the time she was about 25 (I was early 30s)...I got in the elevator with her, I was mega baked...I had just met her a couple days before...the doors closed and she said "it's so dry here, my lips are so chapped"...I really didn't realise what I had said until it was out...good thing for me she thought it was funny...

I disagree that it looks like a toy. It is solid rugged metal, the switches are like stomps and the 6 pedal inputs are as un-toy-like as it gets IMHO. So, uh, no.A3ntar wrote:Speaking about Amplitube2 and IKMM, they still have two days left to ship CSR. Let

Girl-be-gone. That was just something to get everyone's attention. Seems to have worked!
Anyway, I think you'll be seeing more serious direct to the point presentations of AT2 now that it is being released next month. The new ads are all about the software (and quite a lot there alone to show). The catalog also has some nice info and there is going to be more and more on line. I did a video presentation of the Stomp IO that you'll be able to see soon.
As for CSR, it is already released but it needs to make its way to stores all over the world. We're putting it on pre-order on www.esoundz.com on Monday but we expect to be shipping them perhaps as soon as the end of the week.
As for previous questions about AmpliTube 2 shipping, I think it will be mid to late February. I have the final version though on the PC.

I think A3ntar was referring to the color of what might be a purple sticker on the upper part of the StompIO. Nothing bad could be said about the specs, it's all top notch. It also was a good decision not to include any expression pedal in it, so you can choose one that suits you best (especially when you got big feet like me...Squids wrote:I disagree that it looks like a toy. Squids, do you have any idea what will be the price range of the StompIO?
