When the 'Route Midi CCs to source plugin' are there any limits on what CCs are sent? I'm currently trying to send start/stop messages (FA/FC) to Guru via a Roland PK-5a but with no luck.

Receptor OS 1.4

Thanks,

Todd.

Start and Stop are not controller messages. They are also not channel messages, like note on/off or controllers.

I cannot test it here, but it looks like if you set the MIDI filter to listen to all MIDI channels, these messages should go through. If you set the MIDI filter to a specific MIDI channel, since these messages do not have a MIDI channel, they will be filtered out.

This may be a bug. Maybe non-channel messages should always get through.

Again, this is a guess. I cannot test it right now.

Thanks Dan. Being that they are realtime messages I figured they would still be handled in a simlar manner as CCs on the receptor which is controlled by the option in the setup menu. I have tried setting the filter to all but the messages either aren't getting though or it might be that Guru doesn't repond to them (I'm checking with FXpansion on this). Is there a way to confirm that these messages are at least available to the plugins on the receptor?

On an aside, I do agree with you that realtime messages should always get through. Is this something that might be added as an option in the setup menu for 1.5?
