How well does Receptor work with V Drums?
For instance I have Ra and Colossus and I'd like to be able to play the percussion/drums in Ra and Colossus Live. Is this a sturdy, latency free system for this purpose?
I tried this with an iBook G4 and there was some latency, which wasn't improved by reducing the HW buffer size. Also CPU spikes occurred as my playing got busier.

The soundcard is an FW410.
Are you saying the glitching is due to a problem with the soundcard? I'm not sure about that because the glitching coincides with Logic's CPU meter going high.
The latency however (which is occurring at HW buffer size of 256 - this shoudn't normally happen with MIDI at this setting), was a mystery. It's only happening with Colossus (Kompakt). With EXS24 there is no Latency when played from the V Drums.
