Is it possible to take two presets for a single plugin and have the automation from one preset to the other generated within the system.
If you can't do this, is at least possible to automatically jump from 1 preset to another?

pretty sure the first isn't possible - at least not automatically. Would be cool though....
To just switch presets you'll probably have to insert a MIDI program change event into a midi clip. I've never done this deliberately but i've frequently had to delete unwanted program change data that was changing my presets! I'm not aware of another way to do this...
