I bought all of them and I am keeping it all for myself! mwahhahahahaa. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmHA! (I really have turned into Smeagol from Lord of the Rings meets the Snowman "my precious...my very own bunny rabbut amp sim that I will hug and squeeze and call him AmpliTubey-le-sax)...

Hey, at this point does it even matter if anyone makes any sense in this thread? ;)

Just kidding. It is coming out next month.

I am kidding around of course. But, I like the imagery. Plus I am bored with the thread and Putte is an o'l pal of mine. So I was just having some fun.

I still love your plywood mod though. Seriously though I think I will find a way to make it different colors such as black and gray. I prefer it myself. Each person has different tastes when it comes to aesthetics. The design, shape and features of it are to me without question some of the coolest gear I have seen. I can't even get 6 expression pedal inputs for my keyboards! :( Although I don't see why I can't use the Stomp for that as well.

By the way, I did find out some info. There WILL be a demo version that will work if you have a Steinberg Key or IK Key (which you can pick up for $20 or so if you don't have a product that has one already). However, that is not to say there won't be a dongle-less demo at some point as well. Maybe, maybe not.

The other bit of news is a confirmation that no matter where you buy it if you pick up AmpliTube 1 right now you can upgrade for free to AmpliTube 2 (that goes up until the time AmpliTube 2 is out). I still think that is the smartest move personally. You get more for less. I am sure there will be people who realize that when it is too late.

The other piece of good news is that AmpliTube LE or full also qualifies for the crossgrade to CSR, Classik Studio Reverb which saves almost half price on that. I think that is just for the launch period of a month or so. But a nice deal if you need a REALLY great reverb for your virtual studio.

LOL. Of course I was just messing with you Squids. I am happy that you got AT2 final.

You did not answer my other questions though:

Will you be making AT2 videos a la Philharmic?

Will you release soon demo songs/sounds with AT2?

OK, I guess that was to be expected. That was only a logical alternative to a 30 days trial demo.

Thanks for keeping us posted :)

Back to the tone thing for a minute.

Here is my best John Sykes style attempt with GR-2.

Hours of twaeking, plus post compression, EQ and verb to get this. It still falls well short IMO.

Can AT-2 do better Squids? I hope? (Sonik Synth Piano/Strings patch included just for you!) :D

Azz !!!

Gr2 is capable of BETTER sounds !

Without offense for you, but for me it's no good sound.

Gr2 can do better sounds!

Post

"no good sound"? I think it's pretty good. ;) Either I have tin ears or I am easy to please.

I'm not a huge fan of the initial rhythm sound, but when the second guitar comes in, that's a pretty good sound.

For me the problem is in the attack of this sound !

And in his "body" a little bit..

IMHO

I understand English isn't your first language, but surely you must know that your description doesn't give any information about what you perceive the problem to be. ;)

Also, one person's 'problem' is another person's delight!

Yes, i have a poor english.

Also i try : the attack of this guitar sound is not defined, too "granular" and not with defined impact.

better?

Post

Yep, thanks! :D

The playing is great, the sound is a bit above average. I wouldn't say it is bad though. I hope AT2 can do better. Time will tell.

Post

See that's the problem. These Amp sims can't do good rhythm sounds. None of them I've heard can. I spent hours trying to get a Sykes-like rhythm tone. I spent about 5 minutes on the lead tone. I still think that could be better also, but you get the idea.
