Yes you did. I don't need to prove it. Others have witnessed your slyness as well.
At this point man, you really need to convince me to want to look into either of your amp sims (this guitar one, and then the bass one you announced a while ago remember?)

he's been working on this (or at least this thread started) back on 7/20/04...forgive my skepticism...however if you want to see how a real businessman handles it see the amplitube thread...now there's a man I trustprizo wrote:Yo, Midiworks...
You put up with a ton of crap in here. Props for not getting bent out of shape.
If people dont believe its ever going to come out.. well.. thats their problem.
Keep on truckin, man.
Rene, again I do not listen to mp3s of amps....sorry....just like I'm not going to buy a car by a picture and a video of it driving...yet I'm wrong...for someone who shouldn't be you are very defensive and piss poor to potential customers...give me a product to try out and I will be a believer...you could of gotten the samples anywhere and if you read back enough pages you kinda did just that huh? Misrepresented some samples...but you had some silly reason....like Chibs said xmas tube was okay...
every post you make, just makes you look bad...not me...it makes your company look bad..not me...when it comes out, the longer you wait the more people will expect when it comes out, if you can't make that you'll lose...you keep raising the bar on yourself and you're apt to raise to high for you to reach...I'm trying to be nice and point out your errs in your business plan...I'm not wrong here....sadly you will probably learn the lesson the hard way...your defensiveness makes me even more worried. I'm trying to give you good advice, but you keep wanting to tell me what I don't know...I do know 19 1/2 months + 5 people = xmas tube

Let's forget about the fact that this guy claims to be able to model amps 'frighteningly well' when he has no access to any amps.
Let's also forget about his mysterious partners who aren't able to set-up a web site.
Would you buy software from 'company' who's updates will presumably be named after the century that they will be released in?!
"Greetings Earth Citizen MidiWorks,
my amp sim has never been the same since Grandpa Joe updated it in the 23rd Century. I'm hoping that by the time my son has children, you will have cured the latency bug and that they might be able to use the plugin successfully?

This is one of most fascinating threads I have read in a long time...and one of the longest threads I've read ever!!!Midiworks wrote:-----------------------------------------------------

It reminds of the play WAITING FOR GODOT.
Amazing how many people will donate their time and energy to help a stranger realize his dream...and in doing so, they live out a part of their desires and dreams-- the need to create, contribute, be part of something.
If you think about it, the ultimate simulation only remains perfect in theory, because once realized it is subject to the very critiques and disappointments that befall all realizations.
In short, as long as "the Amp" is still being perfected there will always be those waiting its arrival. And so, there will always someone willing to offer his services perchance to win "the amp" and be part of that dream.
Long live rock!

Jonny Quest... I have to say you really made a brilliant, clear and effective analysis of the spirit of this thread. I initially wanted to quote you, but I would have quoted the whole post in the end.

Whether someone's skeptical or not, it IS getting really tiresome to see it pointed out all the time. So he might or might not be close to completion. I don't need to see it pointed out in great detail in every page.
I have to partially agree with Midiworks... just ignore the topic. The part I don't agree with is that it should be aimed squarely at Hink, whose intial post that started this recent "back and forth" WAS just posted in good faith as advice.
OK, enough refereeing from me.

Guitar riff & lick needed for distortion VST project !
I am working on a VST DISTORTION FX,
all the samples I can find are colored.![]()
Here you can listen what has been done so far:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=201397 (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=201397) using humbuckers.
If anyone of the guitar players around here would be
so nice and simply record a few bars for me, that would be great !
1. Any type of guitar, but please tell me the model.
2. No amp, pre-amp, eq or fx. please !!!
3. Some rythm riffs (use the different pick ups)
4. Some leads (use the different pick ups)
I try to recreate a tube saturation.
Fat and powerfull.
So Rockers, plug in that guitar, please help.
THANKS A LOT GUYS & GIRLS !!!
P.S. Sure for your monitoring, to get the feel
you should/can use your FX.
But please, keep the recording 100% UNPROCCESSED.

I think Hink's intentions were noble, though it seems not to be his day, as he pointed himself.
Then CR iterative comments... well... a bit pointless.
I personnally don't care about Rene's lack of tact in PR, all he has to do is to be the best developper he can IMHO. Then if he wants to build a company/brand around his audio engine, well he'll surely have to consider getting some professionanal (lol typed it by mistake, Freudian if you ask me) help.
The thing that goes a bit far in critics towards Rene is the one stating that Xmas Tube sucks...
But I'm just making another case for Jonny Quest here
