G'day guys,
Did a quick search, and couldn't find anything which specifically answers this question...
Is there a way of using wireless networking with the Receptor? I don't know much about it yet, but I'm thinking there might be USB adaptors for wireless networking...?
If I decide to go this way (would be really convenient, as I'm always taking my Receptor out of the studio) how much performance would I lose?
Cheers,
Watto

I haven't tried it, but there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get a connection. You'd need an ethernet to wireless ethernet bridge to do it. I think the fastest is probably 100 mb/s, and that's theoretical. You'll probably have to tweak to get it to get anywhere close to that speed on the wireless link. Throughput will undoubtedly be slower on a wireless than a wired, though because you're in close proximity to the router (presumably), you might get pretty good rates. I do something very similar in my living room, where I have a home theatre PC with an ethernet card, and use a bridge to make it wireless.
Certainly using the receptor remote software should be no problem. Using Uniwire, on the other hand, may be impacted because of the reduced throughput. Sorry, can't comment any further on that.
