I use Opera, but I downloaded it just fine! Have to save target as, not save image as.

Right-click outside the image (in the grey area in Morelias post).

Thanks for the link. Not Opera. I tried in both Firefox and Explorer. In both programs, no matter where I right clicked in the link, all I got was the image file. All well that ends well. Thanks. Nice mellow relaxing skin I find.

Did you really right click in own your posting (not in the reply of your posting). It should be impossible to get the image file since the grey area is a reference to a link.

In answer to the original poll:

No, definately not.

I turn off all the 3d menus and other shading/ shadow crap in Win XP as soon as I install it. Do you realise how much CPU and RAM resources that stuff uses?

I want power not pretty!

Me too, but if someone wants a 3d skin, well why not? As long as it is optional? Perhaps a 3d skin will draw more attention to Tracktion

Guis are irrelevant, past a certain point; I want to make music, not look at pretty pictures. Functionality is all that counts: an ugly gui gets in the way, as does a pretty one (but even more so).

I guess the question here is whether we want to make music with our computers, or just admire the way the simulated shadows move when we drag a simulated 3D fader.

I have Sonar. It's got more fake brushed chrome, plastic burlwood, and simulated leather than a 1974 Cadillac. Latency sucks, it takes seven windows open on the screen to do anything, and the interface has more inscrutable 12x12 pixel icons than M$ Word. But it looks very pretty.

I bought Tracktion. It has flat, simple graphics, but it does not drop out. It has simple text labels that I can understand at a glance. I get lower audio latency because the program is not a total hog, and I can do everything in one window, with a fraction of the mouse clicks required in Sonar.

If there is to be a 3D interface, I request a "safe mode" startup option that disables all of that crap.
