For all of you that are reading german.
It's worth buying the feb. issue of the mag KEYS.
They got a nice article about advanced sound programming with Philharmonik.
Topics are things like "velocity controlled filter for dynamic patches".
Result is that low velocity parts (piano) will sound different than high velocity parts(forte) by dynamic use of filtering. Just like in real life, the timbre of the sound changes when the instrument is played softly.
Another nice thing is to control the filter dynamically with the modwheel to change the timbre while one note is playing.
The CD coming with the mag includes sound examples plus patches.
Next month, the'll go into the topics of creating perfect legato- and gliding portamento-passages.

Sorry, but doing translations of this stuff is really hard work and a lot of time, if you're not a pro translator. And due to copyrights I couldn't just reproduce the material, even if translated, and post it on the web.

Maybe we could ask the publishers for a translation...telebunke wrote:Sorry, but doing translations of this stuff is really hard work and a lot of time, if you're not a pro translator. And due to copyrights I couldn't just reproduce the material, even if translated, and post it on the web.

Better leave that to one who knows what he's doing.
