I've never used an SSL console, but the plugs do sound really good to me.

I've read some threads at other sites, and folks who work on SSL's daily/often have said the plugs sound very close to the real deal.

Ha, here i was thinking i'd get to read some user reviews about these new plugs, but instead i get a bunch of native vs. TDM bullshit!!! Who gives a f**k wether tdm sounds .005 % better than native! If u have a tdm system, u can afford tdm plugins and you will buy them. If you have native only system, then ur gonna cop the natives. This is a non issue.

Interesting how people are saying '1 is Waves, 2 is hardware' etc rather than saying '1 is best, 2 is crappy etc'. Complicates matters since you have to wade through their prejudice; if they say '1 is waves' (for example) does that mean they think 1 is the worst? Presumably so.

championrabbit, it wouldn't mean that Waves "is the worst". We're just being constructive in our contribution to the experiment. As a matter of fact, as of me writing this post, the results of the test hasn't been submitted. It's a BLIND test. No one knows which is which!

In addition, the thread was posted in the "High End" section of the forum. Many there, are quite intimate with various hardware.
