How to get the MIDI edit toolbar to not cover the ruler?

When I double click on a MIDI clip and try to edit the notes it becomes very frustrating because I can't see the ruler. The toolbar buttons cover the ruler so I can't tell how far zoomed in I am or what bar I'm looking at. Is there a way to fix this? I've looked at both the starting guide and the reference manual and I can't figure it out.
Thanks!
Thanks!

i dislike that too. unfortunately i cant help because I use an external sequencer with T2... i suggest perhaps trying something like making an empty track above it and pulling it down enough so that you dont cover the bar?

That sounds like a huge pain =( I'll probably just learn to live with it but I'd REALLY like someone who knows a way to fix this.

its not a huge pain. press ctrl-t and drag it above the track you got there. I'll pm beno about this or something maybe it can be fixed
Also check keymapping in options i could swear there was a way to make the midi edit bar disappear.

Ah you nailed it! It was in key mapping. It's the VERY last option in key mapping. It's under MIDI Editor Controls and it's called "toggle auto display of midi toolbar"rpc9943 wrote:its not a huge pain. press ctrl-t and drag it above the track you got there.
