"Find orphan clips" option

When i use it - i can delete all of the files that tracktion lists? Meaning - the files that tracktion lists are the files, that are completly not used at all? I see there are rendered (exported) files too - meaning ... ?

I want to clean up a little bit, but im not sure what can i delete

Yup. Find orphans is a list of all the files that arent used in that Project. You can shift select them all and delete them. But remember that after you delete 1, it jumps right back to the regular project screen, and its kinda hard to tell them apart so becareful.

Also note that Tracktion does not send to recycle bin/ trash - so there is no turning back (except using some fancy undelete app).

Also note that any previously rendered tracks will be considered orphan. So be careful not to include them in the delete, if you want to keep them.

I personally-- and this is strictly a comfort thing, not a "does it work" thing-- make lossless archives of the 2 or 3 edits that I want to keep. Then I check them, and if they're intact (no "file missing" notification), I trash the project directory and keep the archive(s).

I'm trying to think up a better system right now, but it probably still won't include "find orphan clips" which I find scary. Since I HAVE come across situations in which I've had to manually repair file associations (ie. the edit says "file missing" and I manually redirect the clip to the file), I'd at LEAST manually check each important edit before using the "find orphan clips" function. Mind you, once you've had a quick peek, the function should be very safe.
