Even an 8-bit CPU can add 64bit values (it just takes longer).
The only real advante of 64bit CPUs is the increased address-space, so you can have more RAM without dodgy trickery.

That's a bit like saying the only benefit a Ferrari has over a Robin Reliant is that it's got a better paintjob.
Think i'd rather have an A64 based box than a zx spectrum, and whether it can have more RAM without dodgy trickery isn't the reason.

I WAS comparing 32bit to 64bit CPUs, which does not involve performance increases if you are not processing 64bit data.
I have an Athlon64 X2 4400+ so don't tell me it's better than my C64.
And since I'm running a 32bit OS on it it might just aswell be a 32bit CPU and be just as fast.
