And thank god to that. Because nearly every plugin has it's own concept of how it wants to be installed. Some have subfolders, some dont. Some can be moved, some not. Some have a boatload of crap they dump into folders with them - and you can't delete it because it doesn't work.
i move / rename / delete installation crap ALL the time ... in 5 years of doing it i can think of maybe 2 or 3 instances where its caused problems ...

depends whether a host looks for a plugin .dll name or the (supposedly) unique VST ID code ...

NONE of my other hosts (eXT / T2 / live5 / audiomulch / bidule) has a problem with scanning and displaying nested plugin folders ... its no biggie for me since i no longer use fl-studio but just seems that this is another one of those weird this-is-just-the-way-imageline-do-things-so-put-up-with-it fl-studio quirks ...
