How to A/B the 64bit mixing?

I often switch 64bit mixing on because it doesn't seem to affect the CPU use too much.

However, I'd like to A/B the effect of 64bit mixing other than going into settings and switching it on and off which makes the process of A/B'ing harder.

What settings would be good for rendering to WAV so that I could A/B in another app (or even T2)?

I'm more of a MIDI thinker than an audio thinker and the idea of rendering out 64bit and 32bit mixes is probably flawed in itself.

AFAIR from all the debates here at KVR the 64bit summing only makes a REAL difference if you work with loads of audio tracks ???

(although of course it could therefore equally affect rendering edits with high MIDI / VST track counts too)

... im no techie (and a confessed lofi lover) so take that with a pinch of salt ...

You might not notice the difference until you've mastered your render. Depending on your mastering effects chain, anyway...

I seriously doubt any blind-tested listener would be able to tell the difference (without excellent experience, and awesome monitors).

On the other hand, it sure is cool to have handy...or to use all the time, if it doesn't effect your CPU usage.

Thanks guys. I'm have to admit that I couldn't really tell the difference, hence the need for a quicker A/B comparison, so I think I'll just stick to 32bit and maybe stick on 64bit for a final render.

Cheers for the feedback. :)
