I am running Traktion on a custom built audio PC (ASUS P5WD2 64BIT MOBO), 2 GB Dual Channel Ram with 1 x 160GB OS drive, 3 x SATA2 250GB Audio drives, and 2 x 250GB IDE drives (Samples etc) and WinXP Pro. I have my PC connected to the M-Audio ProjectMix i/o (excellent desk!) which its self is connected via ADAT to my AKAI DPS24 (again, an excellent unit). I also have a Behringer ADA8000 Mic Pre via ADAT to the DPS24, which its self is connected via USB to my PC for file transfers.
As you can see, a nice professional setup with buckets of possibilities back and forth for recording, mixing and mastering.
My problem is, that I have just organised my PC setup strictly for audio ( a laptop now deals with my business side of things), and I have re-formatted my drives, re-partioned etc, and now T2 cannot pull in the audio files for all of my songs.
Does T2 have a auto-find function like SX/Sonar? If not, can you guys at Mackie implement this?

I have physically moved the files of course whilst re-formatting. The drive letter no longer exists, so the session cannot find the original files. This is of course a simple matter of file association in the OS, but it should be possible to correct this by search and find (as with SX etc).

if you have the same directory structure as before have your tried redesignating the drive letter to match what it used to be ... if you can do this (and the directory structure is the same as previously) you should be OK ...Biskopen wrote:I have physically moved the files of course whilst re-formatting. ... if not ... youll have to do it manually and yes ... an automated search function WOULD be cool ...
(cant remember if its been requested before - must have been surely ??? - but if not might be worth you starting an FR thread)
