Thanks for the update. I have a session next weekend.

...and another vote for an install package that doesn't include the demo songs.

I began the download myself, got up to 25mb, walked away to eat breakfast, came back and it disconnected. On reconnect, it began from zero.

With a broadband connection, the new download is projected to finish in 1 hour 7 minutes providing it doesn't disconnect again. This size file is usually downloaded in something like 5-10 min. That's quite a gap. The bottleneck has to be on the server end.

Strip away the demo songs and what is the size?...5-10mb? I agree that would improve the burden on your server and pipeline.

I can't imagine trying to get this over dial up.

Since the bottleneck is on the Mackie side, when everyone is trying to download, a modem would not be much slower.

I like the idea of separate downloads for the app and demo songs. Also, the Mackie webmaster could consider a limit on the number of simultaneous web connections that way there would be less disconnections. I was disconnected twice and am now just waiting for the number of people trying to ease up.

Also, a bittorrent download would take the pressure off the Mackie server entirely and share it around and everyone would get fast speeds.

I downloaded in about 10 minutes on an average broadband connection - but I was up insanely early for a saturday! But yeah...examples bad. Why not just have an 'upgrade' version in mymackie? Or has someone already said that? I was up early.

Nice new version but TWO BUGS as far as i'm concerned :The backward button that makes me go forward (as previously said) and some vsti don't work. For instance, i used Cellofan with the previous version and it doesn't make any sound anymore. Stranger : it sounds when it's inside a project made with previous version, but doesn't if i load it in a new project of this version. It's one of my most used vsti, have you any clue of the reason of the bug ? Hope you'll fix these fast !
BTW if anyone knows another cello-like vsti, i could re-install this version of T2 (i got back to the previous one).

I'm guessing most people have already downloaded, as it took less than five minutes for me to get it. I've never seen speeds like that on previous updates.
Anyway, thanks for the update guys. Also, my vote is, along with a fair few other people, for you to make an installer available with and without example songs. That's the way it used to be, and I never understood why the option was taken away.

I don't even see the need for an installer with samples. They can present the demo songs as a seperate download with it's own installer.

Same here.. took about 5 minutes on Saturday afternoon.

I have to reinstall it and try with cellofan, it's weird.

this is a bug

but somthing like this should be fixable with a simple patch update

so no need for a big download

same bug here... but only with the German localized version.
After switching back to English the transport buttons work again correctly.

Beno - the bug fix with archiving looped audio is not really very helpful. Nothing has really changed (as far as I can tell). I am still going to have to go through every single edit and render each looped clip, thats alot of work!!!

In fact, anyone thinking that this is fixed and archives their edits will loose the audio! yikes.

I thought the whole point of the fix was to stop the unsuspecting user of loosing audio when archiving.

Is there no way of enabling T to correctly archive these edits that have looped clips with deleted takes?
