I bet you still don't have a screaming chickenFunkybot wrote:But GR2 does! That's why GR2 is the BEST and AT2 will suck if it's ever even released and why Pod's suck, and you can't even reamp with them without using stupid sucky cables and cables are why guitars suck and I play guitar and that's why I suck and I'm in this thread and that's why this thread sucks, and it sucks that this thread never ends, and now that I think about it, I take it back GR2 sucks because NI suks, and dongles suck, and anything I can control with my feet sucks too cause my feet smell bad so they suck, and take it from me I know about this stuff, I'm a professional engineer of sucking, and I make sucky music with sucky gear that sucks better than the sucky crap this thread has been about!Hink wrote:how do I do that? btw reamping is for "lucky shot" players who can't play the same thing twice

Even Yngwie Malmsteen hasn't a screaming chicken. Not the last time I asked him anyhow.
I avoid going into Spencer's. People keep looking for a price tag on my tail. =>_<=

Oh yeah Hink...Screaming Chickens suck too! BTW congrats on the purchase of the XT Live. While my Guitarport isn't the be-all-end-all of guitar tones for me, it still sounds great and gets more use from me than my real Fender Twin does. It really is a great sounding unit.
And thanks Hink for proving to me that someone has an even bigger mess of wires strewn about than I do. That picture will be something to show all the girls who complain about how my room is such a mess...

thanx, I'm surprised how much better than my POD 2.0 it sounds (the xt live...not the chicken
)...

Hmm... I was under the impression that it's the same emulation in both.Hink wrote:thanx, I'm surprised how much better than my POD 2.0 it sounds (the xt live...not the chicken)...
Was I wrong?

perhaps it is because of the stomp boxes...perhaps it's the new modeled amps...I'm not sure...I thought the same, but I plugged in, went to manual and dialed in my favorite settings and it surprised me...I really thought I was getting more features (and a pedal board) I am pleasantly surprised. But mind you I have only played through for a short time yet...later I will use the tone editor to try and duplicate the settings as best I can from my presets in 2.0...that will give me better insight....but no doubt it was worth the 400 bux...AndrewSimon wrote:Hmm... ROFL, I called my wife into my "room" and showed her that pic. I said "SEE I DON'T HAVE NEAR ENOUGH CRAP IN HERE".Funkybot wrote: And thanks Hink for proving to me that someone has an even bigger mess of wires strewn about than I do. And Hink, I'm all about the lucky shot

actually usually my set-up is neater, but I've kinda ignored it some, though under the circumstances I think it's normal...but I don't like it messy so this week I'm gping to do an early spring clean in my "corner"...

Hi Hink,
Are you going to get the model packs for your PODXT? I heard that they sound awsome! I'm still debating which way to go here. Like I ststed before, I am eligible for the free upgrade to AT2, but am hesitant to spend $300-400.00 on the StompIO. Plus, with the PODXT, there is no latency/CPU issues to deal with. But on the flip side, I love using plugins on my music. I just don't know...lol

The model packs each have 2 or 3 awesome models. If you only expect 2 or 3 great modesl for the relatively low cost of $50 each pack (which, really, IS a pretty good price) then you're laughing your way to the bank. Otherwise, if you think $50 is getting you 12 new killer amps, you'd better be prepared to demo and possibly return the pack.
To whoever said POD was good but GuitarPort was terrible-- you DO realize that they're identical tones, right? Identical right to the binary level....
