Mackie Control Universal

Hi trs...You can control all/any channels up to a max of 8 at any one time in realtime....ie as long as you switch banks/groups on the Mackie or scroll up down the track list in T2 the controller will set its self around the next immediate group of 8 since obviously there is the physical limitation of the controller. You are talking a couple of button presses or a point and click with mouse anywhere in T2 and the Mackie will immediately jump to and show those channel/track settings and you are good to go with that lot.If you think T2 is fast on it's own,it's blinding fast with the Mackie.
I'm presuming you don't have one and are considering one...you will not regret it.

I think it was a bad batch after they moved the manufacturing to china about a year ago , I have 2 out of 8 faders that tend to "get stuck" , that happened after about a month after receiving a brand new one . . . On the mackie forums this problem seems to be not so rare , some people have went thru 3-4 units until getting one that works properly . . . .

Bad news....I'll have a look and see where mine was made out of interest.

You´re right. But I´m seriously considering the cheaper Behringer BCF2000 MCU emulation alternative too, although I´d prefer the real thing cause it´s got 8 +1 faders in total, instead the only 8 in the BCF.
By the way, can you control Pro tools LE or M-powered with your MCU as well?
Thx again ...
Tom
