Multi-Out Instrument - reduce to stereo out with rack?

I tried to use Garritan personal orchestra multi-out patches in a rack, and re-connected all 16 outputs to stereo outpits, 8 each side, but I got no sound...anyone else have success with this sort of thing?

Just to add, of course I know the workaround is to duplicate the filter across many tracks, I was just hoping to be able to quickly audition presets this way...

I can't speak to GPO, but you did exactly what needs to be done.
Now, a question, and I apologize if it's silly-- and I only ask because I myself make this mistake ALLLllll the time:
Did you drag an instance of the rack to a track armed with an input yet?

It turns out that I needed to set the MIDi channel in each of the multi instrument layers to "1" or "omni", since by default they are separated into different MIDI channels...
