Yeah...my apologies SJ_Digriz. I didn't catch the sarcasm. I agree that it is just not that serious, but I am "dying" to try AT2. I'm always looking for the next big product to hopefully improve my tone/playing.
What exactly is a dongle? None of the software I have by: NI, CakeWalk, IKMM, Etc. have dongles. Why are there so many people against using them? Thanks

I've had a lot of fun reading this thread, and there's a lot of info here, no harm in that is there? The release of AT2 is like a burlesque oddysee through 4 million amp settings. And it just keeps going!

Do you guys thing that AT2 will be as good as PODXT at high gain sounds? Again, I really like the Dokken - Back For The Attack patch in AT1, It sounds HUGE...lol

I giggle each time you mention Dokken as high gain.
But the fact is that George Lynch had GREAT tone and it really WAS in the realm of high gain. So you're not necessarily wrong at all! (though it occurs to me that you might be kidding! I don't know AT1's patches) It's just that, well, it's a Dokken patch. That's what makes me chuckle.

LOL...Yeah. Well I'm from the "Hair Band" era. I'm not into high gain as in NuMetal, it's alright, just not my definition of high gain. I really like the 250 Preset pack for AT1, it really has some high gain patches according to my definition. I wish I could import/incorporate them into AT2, I was told by an IKMM rep that they would not work in the AT2 environment.

Going by the samples posted, the cleans are what stand out to my ears. The driven tones sound- to quote rgc's sfz soundfont player- "poo-ish".1991lespaul wrote:Do you guys thing that AT2 will be as good as PODXT at high gain sounds? This one just gives me a headache; the left channel (Marshall model) is as harsh as all hell, and the right channel (Dual Rectifier, supposedly) sort of gets the general idea of a the DualRect, but lacks any sort of liveliness and is still sort of harsh- but a different kind of harsh than a poorly set guitar amp would give you; more of a phony-baloney digital harsh. I don't think it's the MP3's fault, either. I've heard great amp tones come right through at lower bitrates than that.
This clean one sounds great, though; it sounds livelier than the Pod's Vox models, which sound good tonally, but seem to have a static response. A2's Vox sounds like you can really dig into it and it just gets sweeter.
So I'm guessing that realistic cleans will be A2's forte.

Gruesome...you were spot on about the Bogner model in the metal shop....is the Bogner in the other model pack just as sweet?

The other pack's Bogner model is a lot darker and more mid-heavy; it's more "classic" than "modern" sounding. Very thick; I probably wouldn't layer four rhythm tracks with it, but it's great for a sort of doom-ish Sabbath tone with heaps of gain.

True. They won't import. However, for esoundz customers we're going to recreate most (if not all) of those presets as a separate download if you bought AT1 or AT2 from www.esoundz.com1991lespaul wrote:LOL...Yeah. By the way, I am almost ready with those clips for you guys. Maybe by tomorrow I'll have some and then I will try to keep up some more coming.

A few questions...
I have a GuitarPort with a ton of settings that another user posted (they are not packs) just settings that he got from the tone library...
Anyway, I have played some good amps as well as GreenMachine, GR2, AT1, etc and was also thinking about the V-Amp at one time as well as the PSA 1.1, anyway, the other sims compared to the Guitarport are shaddy. I think the GuitarPort sounds much better.
My questions are: Does the TonePort use DSP as GuitarPort does and / or does the XTlive use DSP? I ask as I want the best sound but want whatever uses the less of CPU resources (which by the way the Waves Guitar device uses a LOT of CPU power, way to much to even make any sense, plus all amp sims sound the same, no high gain either).
I just wish (although I know having the best sound first is of utmost importance) that Line 6 would make it more like a plug in so you could re-amp, and yes I know it can be done by splitting the signal), then again, this is in contrast to my original question as it would use more CPU, so that said, between the GuitarPort vs Toneport or XTLive, which uses it's own CPU resources? And what about sound difference? I am thinking they must all sound similar?
thanks

Hey Squids,
What if I didn't purchase my copies of AT1 or AT@ from esoundz? I just joined this chat and KVR. Prior to my joining I have never heard of esoundz. Will there be any chance that you will sell those presets to those who didn't purchase from esoundz?
Thanks
