MCU Etenders & T2

I´m interested to find out if T2 supports MCU Extenders.
Acording to the Mackie site, T2 is not included in the supported sequencers list, but the fact that Mackie is not including it´s own sequencer sounds a bit weird to me.
Can anyone shed some light on that?
Thx

The website is correct. Tracktion supports a single MCU and a Single C4. We will be adding MCU XT support in the future, but it is not currently supported.

Thx for the answer.
So I guess that the Tascam US-2400 25 faders (or at least 16 of them) are useless witk T2 at the moment, am I right?

The new release supports 16 faders if I'm not mistaken, so at least half of your faders should be working.

Nope, vally that is for custom control surfaces. Not MCU.

so does the US-2400 pretend to be an MCU and a couple of extenders then? That's pretty cunning if so. I just assumed trs'd be using it as a custom surface.

I¨m thinking of buying the Tascam us-2400 to replace my current 16 channel one, but not before I´m 100% sure I can use it with T2 and ProTools.
Acording to the manufacturer Pro Tools is supported, so no worries here, what is not that clear is T2 compatibility.
It emulates MCU and HUI. And according to the Sound on Sound review it dependes on the sequencer the way you have to set it up.
For instance with Logic is automatic/plug and play, but with MOTU Digital performer you have to tell it that what you´ve just attached is a MCU plus two Extenders.
So in the end I´m not sure because if I choose MCU mode then I´ll be probably limited to 8 channels, and if I go the custom surface way I should have 16 with the last T2 update.
Another point I´m doubtful about is: should I be able to run it in custom surface mode?
I keep investigating ....
Any ideas are wellcomed

Yes - you will have a control of 16 channels BUT Tracktion isnt bidirectional when working with a custom control surface. Like i was saying many many times - its the only big software-multitrack that cant send any info to controller. So yes - you can control Tracktion, but Tracktion cant control your controller.trs wrote:So in the end I´m not sure because if I choose MCU mode then I´ll be probably limited to 8 channels, and if I go the custom surface way I should have 16 with the last T2 update.
I hope soon Mackoids will add this important feature (followed by improved MIDI synchronisation) - then i will be almost 100% happy
with Mackie (the goddamn promised Rotopod Brackets for Onyx 1640 will be the only freaking problem for me then
kisses
