Does T2 support mulriple control surfaces?

I´m still investigating if the Tascam US-2400 will work with T2.

The manufacturer says that the host should be multiple control surfaces compatible.

According to the user´s manual it will install three midi ports, each one will control 8 fader groups x 3. In MCU mode this means MCU + 2 MCU Extenders. Now we know that T2 don´t support Extenders yet, it will, but how many and when?

On top of that, will I still be able to use it on custom surface mode?

Yes.

If it installs as 3 devices, you can set up 3 "different" mappings, and once set up, they'll seamlessly operate as though it's just the one controller.

For custom surfaces, you have the option of "hiding" the related icon, so since it's not being used as an actual MIDI device for recording notes, this makes the whole device (actually 3 devices) transparently "active".

If it shows up as three control surfaces, an MCU and two XTs, you should be able to set up one as an MCU in Tracktion, and the other two as custom control surfaces giving you 24 tracks of control.

Remember, that only faders with MCU support (first will move. The other 16 will not, because of lack of bi-directionality for custom control surfaces (you move a fader-it moves on tracktion, you move it on tracktion ... nothing happens on the controller).
