ok. i've made up my mind, no mixer! don't you dare put a mixer in this program. i'm liking this.
i just bought a powerbook to do some live stuff on, so let's see how it works with a mac. i got through a mix in no time the last project, and i actually found myself feeling embarrassed about demanding a mixer.
but like i said earlier in some other post... i will continue to try to make a better record, everytime i make a record. tracktion affords me the ability to work on my client's recording without the brain drain of conventional audio applications.
no mixer!

Cubase probably has 100% of them. Logic probably has 200% of them. Will you figure out how to use them without your brain exploding from frustration? Probably not. You can have all the features you want but if they're not easily layed out, whats the point.klagga wrote:
Makes me wonder how many of these features that Cubase already have. 90%?

Try pressing F8 (osx) on 50 tracks @ 15" laptop!!!! (makes all tracks fit screen view)AD80 wrote:Yes, no mixer. But for the love of god, some type of folder tracks/lockable track sizes!! I'm mixing a 30 track song right now and I'm just day dreaming about grouping some of these into some type of folder.lharless wrote:

The mixer channel strips disapairs, and the tracks turns to tiny lines. And to get it back you have to manualy mouse drag and resize every 50 track! Ocationaly it happens to me, and its just like: NOOOO!!!!!!

Couldn't you just select all the tracks and press Z?

This actually works only for the first of the selected tracks (bug or feature?)flanneljammies wrote:Couldn't you just select all the tracks and press Z?
But you can select all tracks and then use the buttons shrink/grow - this works for each selected track!

Cubase does a bejillion things. I found myself staring at all that stuff, unable to easily figure out how to do stuff, and rarely feeling like I was just creaively playing music, you know, like picking up my guitar and just enjoying myself. Within 1 hour I was enjoying myself with Tracktion.
My hair still has not grown all the way back after pulling most of it out over Digital Performer.

Yes,Umm, you know, this poll has been finished for a VERY long time now. No use posting any more votes now.
on one hand, that is true that i did not looked at the date of the last post
on the other hand, MAckie has made 2 or 3 updates of T2, and never mentionned any interest in improving timestretching algorythm, nor the will to make us gain time with loop tools...
And Acid 6 is coming, with improved midi and the ability to take one sample and put it in another track (that feature + midi was the reason i came to Tracktion... now.... I'm asking the question to myself again...)

I tried T2.0 but had to give up, I missed to many things, and bitterly had to go back to Cubase. Since T2.1 now has got some of the things I missed, maybe it´s time to try it out again...

I switched from SX to Tracktion a long time ago. In the end, yeah SX has more features. But Tracktion lets me make music faster and easier, and I have more fun doing it. So I stayed with T and never looked back. Choose whichever host lets you make music fast, and have fun doing it. If thats Cubase then stick with it. It definitely has plenty of features to keep you entertained.klagga wrote:YOU got a point there.AD80 wrote:Cubase probably has 100% of them. Logic probably has 200% of them.
