WOW a response! Hey thanks for responding dogod. I guess your right about the tight group. If they plan on creating an AT2 forum, it would be nice of them to be a little more open. Anyway, I can't wait for my copy of AT2. I emailed IKMM and still no response on a time/price for the StompIO. I would like to know how much it will cost to allow me to allocate my gear money properly..lol.

I like you too Les. (do you own a 91 les paul?). I hope I didn't miss any questions. I actually haven't read every page in this thread. But, I am not intentionally ignoring anyone.1991lespaul wrote:WOW a response! Hey thanks for responding dogod. I guess your right about the tight group. As far as the Stomp IO, the only thing I can tell you is that it is coming this year and AT2 users will be able to upgrade to get it (because it is a package of Stomp IO and AT2). As far as cost goes, all together with AT2 it will be under a grand. AT2 itself is $399 introductory price (and I think may go up to $499 at some point, not sure). That's just the software. That's the MSRP so from a store it would be a lot less (and with the upgrade even LESS). So, if the Stomp IO was just a few hundred more or so... that's what I imagine given the cost of the high quality rugged design, components and drivers. But, that's not official it is just a guess. When I know for sure I will tell you all though.

The other thing I shoudda said @ 91-lp was that this thread is kinda off to say the least (I've enjoyed adding to the insanity).... It's morphed many times and is probably not the place to start to get into the deep dark world of KVR... hehehe... (there is a Getting Started thread, ya know)

@les: Yes, this is NOT in any way an official AT2 forum. :-D It's a thread that has become a joke (wry or sour, depending on who's doing the joking). Any [semi-?]official threads about AT would more likely be in Squids' forum, the Sonic Reality / eSoundz forum. Squids isn't IK but works pretty closely with them. He's an amazing storyteller and salesman.

LOL...Hink, your funny! I don't think I would ever buy a strat, I'm a Les Paul man..lol. Oddly enough, I own 4 Kramer guitars. Hey Squids, thanks for the update on the StompIO. I am one of the people that purchased AT1 to get in on the free upgrade to AT2. So, I'm just waitng on the release of the StompIO to complete my softwae package. Oh, and thanks Meffy, I will venture ove to Squid's forum.

LOL...Yeah Hink, I see where your going. It is not one of the greats, but I like it. In my opinion, quality has gone down over the years at the Gibson plant. There are probably better guitars to be had for the $ Gibson is charging now days....

fwiw 91-lp, I am a strat player at heart...but even then, not a fender...I don't buy names and just so veryone can flame me again, I also think Gibson SGs are best suited to be canoe paddles...

Bah!... I am a double-humbuckin' freak, even tho' Dave Gilmour is my all-time fav. guitarist (strat man). I just find the single pickup tone way too thin/small. Go big, or go home.... hehehehe
