touche.
But a facet of experimenting is that those experiments are invariably going to cause a ruckus and someone is going to have the bright idea of pillaging it. But y'know, they wont ever do it as good as the originator.
this is only partially true, IMO. sometimes an innovator will have created something that inspires more innovation, not replication. for instance, a guitarist might hear Jimi Hendrix and become inspired by his innovative use of effects pedals and that might lead to this guitarist devising his own innovative array of stompboxes. this isn't necessarily pillaging Hendrix's sound or method, but pillaging his will to experiment.

There's not to question why, there's but to do or die..
in a macabre kinda way, I think this sums up how I feel about it. I wouldn't necessarily DIE from a lack of 'doing', but without the thrill of experimentation, making sounds is boring and without reward.

In my case, it's Do or go f**king banannas and end up on a buncha drugs than make a complete ass out of yourself..

Much easier to trim the fat away and just be a complete ass without the extra baggage.

Hello Rachmiel. I haven't read through the whole thread so it's possible that it turned into a chicken training thread but I'm up for some experimental music forum. Anything that throws somebody into a meditation state. Some improv stuff.

don't let this get stuck at a dead end. you're all onto something and make something come out of it all. if this is gonna be some elite group, so let it be. as long as you're all supporting each other, and guiding each other towards the unknown, you're good. if you let it be just another abandoned, half assed idea, then it'll bring you back here... to the start of the thread. dedicate yourselves. watch out for each other. don't let each other fall.

i guess, you're all looking for isolation as a group where you're all fully comfortable. nobody knows what the f**k they're saying or doing. everyone is searching. your current uncomfort in music, if any exists, will be overcome by your dedication and willingness to collaborate.

we exist only in text. we're not brothers and sisters, and we certainly don't live in the same house or share the same bread. we can only know each other so much. be truthful and help each other.

coexist... there's music to be heard from you guys. horror movie soundtracks, weird trips around the world, trips to hell, trips to heaven, trips to vurtland... accept each other, respect each other.

i smell some l337 shit cookin' and i'm liking it.

there's already unsigned contracts between mates here, but there's nothing wrong with signing an actual one. i'd love to be a part of it, but i don't think i qualify as one of you yet. i'm a poser of all sorts. i need identity.

create new forum and let that be a new page in music.

I am all in favour of setting up another forum within the auditorium for sure - should it be in the first part of the forum (the auditorium) or a separate section entirely to cover more aspects of experimental, not only the music, but the tools used etc?

All I need to know is - what do you want to call the new section?

And what part of the forum do you want it in?

Best regards,

Spe3d

Donovan suggested Alchemaic Digitalis, and it seems to be appropriate.

Well I guess its hopefully going to be more about the experiment, but the result of the experiment is still important. So perhaps in the first section, but with allowances for non-music promoting threads that still relate to experimentalism.

Sounds good - this I will set-up today in the first section of the auditorium - under that name 'Alchemaic Digitalis' - the moderators will be don and grilla

I am open to suggestions for a short one line description for the new forum too.

Best regards,

Peter

I was posting as you were, its a good name - but I think the other one will fit better in its raw form.

Yeah.. Effrenus Experior .. Wild Experience... Latin... sounds like it should be used for something to do with THC penile injections...

Um...

A short one liner? How about "Come here if you value the unknown" or something equally pretentious as that?? :hihi:
