Anyone knows?
This month as in February 2006? No. It will come out when it's ready. Probably mid-March. Maybe April. If not, then May for sure. Or June. Or... Nobody knows for sure.

No idea, might be x-mas amp, which has a boom problem as well.

Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Amplitube 2?

Seriously, maybe Warp VST? It sounds so harsh... almost like a direct out from a real amp...

If you consider my posts like condescending crap, you can mute me as well. :)

As for the mp3 demos, which you said you would post after the official ones were released... (and never did); well yeah, it would be a waste of time. Only a demo version would give us some ideas of the beast. I would never buy a real amp without trying it first. Seems logical. Same goes for an amp sim.

Yes, plug-ins are fun! AT1 is fun, GR2 is fun. And if AT2 is as good as you say, don't worry, people will brag about it, and you will sell plenty!

"here's a class in X 101" is considered condescending universally. However, I forgive and forget easily and prefer to get along. Hopefully that is possible.

As to the comment about it not being released and yet a salesman is trying come sell it... first of all, we haven't even had it up for pre-order yet on esoundz when other stores do. Just because I am talking about it doesn't mean I am only trying to sell it. I enjoy conveying my honest point of view on it. The fact that it isn't out yet certainly isn't MY fault. I wish it was so we could all pitch in our thoughts. Anyway, I know there are a lot of people who will buy it regardless of what I say. Some will feel the need to try out a demo and I encourage that. Many will not, namely a lot of producers, engineers and songwriters who just want what it does! As a musician who produces, engineers and writes music myself I feel I am in that boat! From that perspective I wanted to share some excitement that I had this weekend from playing with it in context of mixing a tune. It didn't even occur to me that someone would think I wasn't being genuine. I guess that's because I have been a part of the KVR community for around 5 years and wouldn't be able to post over 4,000 times if all I was saying was just fluff. There's substance behind my posts and I just want that to reach the people that want to read it without others attacking me for it. What did I do to you?

It is sort of odd getting on someone's case for liking something and having the passion to talk about it as much as I do. I certainly mean well for everybody. The only reason I am talking about it is because I think it is going to be a great tool for a lot of people. Okay, amidst a thread of frustration about it being late is perhaps not the best place. On the other hand, maybe it is! At least it is on topic. The person who started the thread is pretty anxious to know more about AT2. I am telling you guys as much as I can.

I know for sure. It is coming out in March. So, in a few days it will be coming out finally THIS month (that month).

Squids,

I know you are not responsible for AT2 delay. And it is really nice of you to post your thoughts ybout AT2, since you are one of the lucky guys to have it. Your insights and comments are appreciated.

But personally, and that is only my opinion, reading one time that AT2 is great because of that and that [...] is awesome and interesting. However, reading x times the same thing over and over actually takes my interest away from it, and I become wary about it. Is that experience? That's my reaction. Maybe other people become more and more interested. I don't know.

Peace.

I'm starting to think there is one rule for Squidsy and another for us mere mortals..... ROFL

.. software which is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge, either with or without a protracted development cycle. The term implies deception, or at least a negligent degree of optimism; that is, it implies that the announcer knows that product development is in too early a stage to support responsible statements about its completion date, feature set, or even feasibility.
