feature request: moving both loop markers at once

Hi there,
A feature I would like to use would be being able to click on either the loop in or loop out marker and move the two markers at once keeping their relative positions.
Thanks, Wayne

Shift-dragging, like with automation curvesAD80 wrote:Yeah that would be cool. Maybe control-dragging the right marker would move both or something.
But yeah, it is a cool FR.

You've never comped vocals, or anything, for that matter, Lunch?
The method I have for comping vocals (when I do it, which admittedly isn't often, as it's a bloody tedious job) is to set a (let's say) 2 bar loop, comp the first phrase, move the loop markers, do the next phrase, etc...
Of course, that's only necessary for pretty average singers, but it's still a valid reason for wanting the above FR.

It would be very convenient for people that work in even sections. 2 bar loops, 4 bar loops ect. Its a small detail but I think it would be nice.Lunch Money wrote:In what situation might this be handy for some folks? I can't say I've ever felt inconvenienced by the current way, but 50% of the time I say that, people manage to find a compelling reason, so I'm curious about what those reasons might be!

Watto, I'm the king of the comp. I comp till the cows come home. But I've never wanted to ever do it in 1 or 2-bar chunks, moving bit at a time.
Rather, I'll record an entire passage (eg. a chorus) in loop record mode, 10 or so times or at least until I know I have a few good passes in there. Then the comping begins. Going 1 or 2 bars at a time is for the birds.
And hella boring!! If it's to fly in a 1-bar "fix", I don't need to worry about moving the in and out markers simultaneously because I'm flying into one passage for "one night only!"
AD80-- that begs the question.
I guess I should've made it clear that I understood that it would give you the ability to move along in even increments. My intended question, which I admittedly communicated very poorly, was meant to be: "In what situations are people working this way?"
Obviously if there's a feature request, SOMEBODY's doing it, and they'd find it useful. I'm not saying it's a dumb feature request at all, I'm just trying to visualize someone else's workflow to understand a different way of working in which this could be useful.

Er, yes, I said it was boring, and shithouse, but absolutely necessary in some situations (which you luckily don't have to endure), and therefore a very handy feature!Lunch Money wrote:Watto, I'm the king of the comp. hi you guys,
I have used this feature in the past with vegas.I am a drummer and I record myself improvising and grooving over any given click tempo. I then designate any length between the markers and begin moving the markers about. Keeping the in and out equidistant gives many interesting loop possibilities. For example if the distance is set at two bars, there will be many two bar grooves that will be heard but weren't nessesarily conceived of at the time of performance.

I would much rather see a way to cut the material in between markers. This would be very useful for remixes and such where you are cutting loops that don't necessarily fall on the bars.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".
