KVR is a daaaaa-aa-aa-angerous place. ;)

What's that? What you got there?

I'm like in this band, we're doing a song about crime in New York City... this is a dangerous place.

you do understand that there are many of us holding pitchforks and torches waiting to storm IK for AT2. yet once again you wave it in front of our faces talking about how much fun your having with it. :x

Are you saying that Line6 has sold roughly 10 million POD's? Also, do you hear any of the "fizz" that some people discuss on the Line6 forum? Some claim to hear it, and some say that there is not any "fizz" to be heard....Kinda like the AT and GR debate...lol.
no I'm saying that ten million dogs chase their tails...though I could be off by a little...

About the fizz, I suppose Greg is right and it's something I worked into my style years ago...but perhaps it's also quite possible the fact that my guitars are active they could over ride this fizz with an additional feeling of (for lack of a netter word0 presence.

I just set up a preset with the Bogner model that is basically simple simon...a tube screamer, no verb and some digital delay...the sound was quiten open, full of sustain...but without the garble of many high gain sounds and the high end was perfect for squeals, I had a ball

Again it's my firm belief that high gain amps respond very nicely towards the opposite direction when a high gain guitar is plugged in and you roll back on the guitar volume. People with active pick-ups probably know exactly what I'm talking about, it's like an uspoiled wide open space (utopia ;)).

Of course hit that same high gain set-up with a high gain ax full bore and it sings as well...but I have to say it does surprise me how many people don't see the advantage of a high gain guitar...though tbh active electronics are more like having a variable gain guitar... :)

you know this fizz could be a byproduct of digital as well...as I think about what Greg said Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" comes to mind...I've loved this song for ever...wore it out on vinyl countless times in my youth...I have it on tape (again, not my first copy), but on cd, pc or digital radio stations I can't take it...the sound is terrible...and an over saturation of a fizzyness is the thing that makes me cringe...it's really the fuzz on the solo parts that just don't sound good digitally, they are too close to extreme digital clipping...sad too because I love that song :?

Yeah..I'm seriously leaning towads a PODXTL. Again, I'm not a pro, don't have an ear that can distinguish between amps, and am looking for something with flexebilty (amp and computer). Thanks for the feedback guys...

When people talk about guitarists I'm always surprised no one brings up Adrian Belew. If you've ever seen him live, he is as pure as they get. I actually like him better than RF.

You will LOVE the Echoman stomp in AT2. It does that wacky Adrian Belew Memoryman stuff really well. I didn't even have a real hardware Memory Man so I am psyched ("let's go kill some birds I'm psyched" name the movie).

This is most likely created when someone disastered instead of mastered the CD. I have the same issue with Hotel California. I have the album and it sounds awesome. I have the CD and it sounds like shit.

There seems to be no point in doing a demo just for this thread because it was sadly proven it would be a waste of time from the test I did.
Squids! most of us would really appreciate a demo from you! Don't judge us all based on the actions of a few. You're better then that!

dogod, don't you think that this is a bit unfair towards IKMM?
