The folks at AMG don't think KAB will work with Receptor but they don't sound like they really know what Receptor is. Can anyone shed light on whether or not this will work. Or, can the developers work with AMG for a solution?
Thank you very much,
Justin

I own Receptor with 1.4 can Dan or others respond when you get a chance. I really need this to work for live application and the AMG rep doesn't know how to make it happen...I can be the lab rat for testing if needed. Thanks

Have you tried installing it via the user-installable method? You'll need the PC VST version to try.
Also....if you can bring the raw samples into Kontakt II, you could swing it that way.

Muon Software makes the player for this...so accessing samples isn't a possibility...I will try the user installable method but I fear the authorization process for KAB will prevent me from being successful. Thanks Phil...Dan, any help from a development perspective? thanks

We dont have this program to try it. I would say try the unsupported method. My guess is it may require more work to get it to work. I could try if i had a copy here.

farhan,
Can you work with Muon on this. In there KVR forum I requested help and they said they haven't had any contact from you all for quite some time. They think since Receptor is Linux based that I will not be able to make this work without rewriting the authorization code. Please help if possible. I really need these horns..Sounds stupid I know but in a funk band with two keyboards one of us needs to be the four piece horn section.

Everything loads great in the Receptor and I can get the GUI to show up.. HOWEVER.. The libraries won't play without the authorization file from AMG. To get this I need to try and use the Machine ID of the Receptor in order to send it in to AMG for the Auth. File. I don't know if it will work like Windows version of KAB but it worth a try if I can get the ID.
Farhan or Dave can you guys tell me how to access this information?

Unfortunately you need to run the authorization executable from within the Receptor in order to generate the machine ID for the receptor. This requires some tweaking from our end so that u can do this.
Send me a mail directly with the path to this authorization exectable. Let me see if i can send you a hack to run this when i get a chance. Only when i get a chance

Farhan, Can you email me? I would like to include you in my dialot with Muon and AMG? I can load certain patches in Receptor but the main patches won't load it just restarts the Remote. They claim there is no difference in the way Tachyon accesses patches and they would need a debug log to figure out the issue. Can you help? Matt from AMG indicated that he wouldn't have a problem working with you guys on this. Thank you, I know you are impossibly busy.

The best thing is to request them to send me a copy of their software to check it out. Also ask Matt to just give us a call and we can work things together.
There are a set of log files in your Reports folder on your receptor, which may help them figuring it out but i doubt it in this case.
thanks
