dogod wrote:Hey Putte, any news on the recording session?
.. yes! actually i'm totally in " :hyper: "-mode at the moment, as we now almost finished the recordings themselves. only thing that is still missing is the cembalo, but we'll record that soon as well .. :)
since yesterday mixing phase started, and i think its going to be really good.

these 3 songs offer more than 20000 emotions (and 40000 guitars), and are of course way better than AT2 ..

Actually, if you multiply the amount of amp combinations (20,000 btw in case I didn't mention that ;) ) times the amount of possible EMOTIONS then that = infinity. So, right there I think everyone should buy it. (Squids gets lazy and gives up).

.. he's mixing in cologne, and i'm working on mixes here. and in 2 weeks we'll have 3 mixing-days together over at his studio. and because AT1 is an elemental tool for our music (for bass and vocals) he bought it now as well. See IK? even though i may give you a hard time now and then, i still bring you some customers .. :) ..

(now give me that schnitzel for half the price, will ya? .. :x .. :hihi: .. )

Has it every occured to anyone that Sasha and friends have hijacked A3ntar's thread? After 220 pages I guess it has covered just about everything. I don't even know what I missed. Probably don't want to know.
LOL, as if it was really possible to hijack this thread. The posts it contains is like a maze with no end. Btw, I think that you meant dogod and friends? I mean Sacha isn't posting that much anyways.

As long as the posts have "something" to do with guitars, AT2, or big fat useless cats, then it is OK with me.

Squids, a question for you. The final copy of AT2 you own, is it the retail dongle-enabled version? or is it a special dongle free version?

How is the CPU usage on it on average? ( what are your machine specs? )

Thanks for your reply.
I have a usb key version. Even the alpha versions had the usb key. Anyway, no problems at all with the usb key sharing with my Cubase and Miroslav so that part is good news.

The CPU usage has only gotten better with each pre-release version. The final release version is great on CPU in general although the lower latency you want it also takes up more CPU power with any plug-in. Also, in AT2's case you can find yourself going balllistic with two simulataneous rigs at once with 12 stomps and 8 rack effects and of course that will take some CPU. The typical amp with 3-4 stomps however is surprisingly lean on the CPU. I have it running on several machines at the office but the main one is this fairly new Sony Laptop that we put all of the SR and IK stuff on (all the Refills, plug-ins etc. inside Cubase SX3). It is a 1.8 Centrino with a 100 gig hd. I actually had my very own Stealthplug prototype for a while and that is my favorite thing to use for plugging a guitar in. But, we have a lot of Firewire and USB interfaces around the office and try out different ones. I wish I had a Stomp IO but I am sure a lot of people do. ;)

I am on a different computer right now but when I get on that computer I will load up some things and write down some buffer settings and percentage of CPU specs.

Huh?
He seems to quite like his thread being hijacked, doesn't he?

Apart from that, tell them IKMM dudes to bring on the freaking AT2 demo - and, almost as important, tell the local music store to have the footcontroller a) available and b) ready to check.

And, Skwids et all, apart from that #2: My name is indeed Sascha, not Sacha, Sasha, Satcha, Susha or whatever. I didn't accidentally misspell it when setting up my mail account, my various forum accounts, all my contracts, bills and what not.

Ok. Another hint. "Granpa's mite enjoy" ... It's based on an old-ish amp :)

in all fairness I think I have "hi-jacked" this thread more times than Sascha,,,and for Sascha...I mis-spell everything...but out of respect for you (since you pointed it out to everyone and I can understand) I think I'm more cognizant of my spelling of your name than any thing I type...I even added it to my dictionary on google spell check...but "Skwids" was a nice morning chuckle... :hihi:

Though if I were to spell your name wrong on purpose it would be Sushi, as it goes much better with Skwid
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Squids, will you finally be making any real samples with AT2 for us to enjoy? Don't be afraid of bashing, there will be bashing ( and praisng ) anyways when it will come out.

Can I call you Sushi? :hihi:

Woops. Sorry Sascha. Isn't that the name of the duck in Peter and the Wolf?

Yeah, this thread has been JACKED! It's all good though. The only one who has read every page is A3ntar and he loves it because he is proud to have made it into KVR stats history as the most someting or other... pages, views... who knows? Has to have won something. ;)
