Mastering... what I'd like to see

I'd like something like Guitar Rig or B4's fx, where you choose a speaker and a mic position, with tube drive etc, that's made for synthesis.
What would really be cool would be a mixer that would allow you to stick the track into a certain position in the room and optionally emulate a speaker/amp and mics for it. Kind of like BFD except a hybrid guitar rig, that would allow bleeding from other mics. Some interesting "mastering" effects I've found that I'd like to see more of, or would like to know about...
B4's tube drive/rotor/vibrato/amp simulation (can be mimicked in guitar rig)
Guitar rigs ability to select the mic position
BFD's mic positioning
Absynths Pipe effect
and PSP's PianoVerb
anyone know anything else like this? I'd like to see something that was made for making computer synthesis sound more like it was played live or in a studio. I have great results running vsts through guitar rig or through absynth's pipe or through b4's FX. I would like to see something like this made for synths (like guitar rig without all the guitar based stuff) especially in a mixer/multi-track environment with micing
anyone know any other good odd mastering effects such as this...
(also, I was wondering in Guitar Rig the amps have an air setting, I was wonder how to emulate that without guitar rig... any suggestions?)

I mean mastering in the since that it's not an effect like a delay line, I'm talking more eq'ish/reverb type effects that made to emulate studio space or a live setup. Mic placement and speaker emulation is what I'm really looking for.

Mic placement, speaker & room sims are normal effects in my book, and are for 99% created with only delay lines under the hood.
Mastering is what you do to songs after you are done mixing and want to polish and line them up for an album.

I agree: nothing to do with mastering there, bro. You're just creating an ambience or environment. Mastering engineers aren't trying to "put you in a room" or anything. That kind of thing is more consistent with sound effect mixing.

Ok ok, so it's not mastering. What would you call you is? Would you consider EQ and effect?
And I know I can simulate the types of things you can do with mics and amps and space in Guitar Rig with reverb, eq and delay, but the thing is is that I want to emulate the sounds achieved that you might get in a 1960's recording studio. You have to mic drums, a lot of old amps you had to mic etc. Acoustic instruments had to be mic'd

I agree. The cabinet miking(Boxmodels), and the delaydepartments(Buzz) can get the feeling of old recording studio effects. As an insert on some individual tracks.bduffy wrote:I think Trash would be right up your alley.
I'm also thinking the reverb and stereowidener in Ozone(which also is a Izotope product). Gives very much a room structure to a whole mix.
