Conspiracy Theory: Midiworks' sourcecode IS Amplitube, therefore he must wait for Amplitube2 for his "new" modeling engine to work!
Just kidding.
well first he did come out with xmas tube, second Rene wouldn't produce a ripped off clone.guitarzan wrote:Maybe this'll flush Midiworks out of hiding:

Just kidding.
In my conspiracy theory, xmastube would've been based on the first Amplitube. He would be waiting on Amplitube2 for the "new, improved" modeling engine that was given as one of the multitude of reasons for delaying - but I was just trying to provoke a response from Midiworks, really.Hink wrote:well first he did come out with xmas tube
Seriously, we need a little more info here.Midiworks wrote:Not really.
Don't worry, I was being real sarcastic, a little good natured ribbing at Rene...in my "version" xmas tube is ruby tube with a twist...guitarzan wrote:In my conspiracy theory, xmastube would've been based on the first Amplitube. Although...normally a company tries to rush to be the first to release...not the other way around...hmmmm....
You are right.AndrewSimon wrote:Seriously, we need a little more info here.Midiworks wrote:Not really.
What are your plans?
Should I wait? or should I invest in a donglelized monster?

If you want a amp sim, then you should wait.
If you want a multifx with distortion then there are plenty
to chose from.
Just a thought, if I am able to model all those real amps that close,
like you heard it on the mp3's, how simple you guess,
would it be to model the sound of a Pod, GR2 or a AT2 ?
Let me tell you, very easy.
I worked too long and too hard on the whole thing
to rush and maybe make a deadly mistake in the end.
Since I did everything way different so far,
I will keep it this way.
Most of my other, yes, 5 partners, did the jobs needed
a long time ago and sure they are waiting too, that I release the amp.
But there is no pressure from that side.
The site is half done, I mean its functional,
but its still missing the text/pics/mp3 content.
The amp is fully functional.
There are more amp models done than I thought,
to get one model right, sometimes up to 20 models had to be made.
Than pick the one that sounds the closesed and FEELS/REACTS the closest
to the real amp.
So there will be also a growing range of new amp models AND distortion stomp models,
made available over time, that can be loaded into the main amp and can be bought seperately.
Also, from time to time there will be new FREE models or stomps for our registered users.
And finally a Mac version will come too.
Thanks
Rene
