Also, adding a new track doesn't create a default track name (e.g. "Track 5")

Post

yeah "edit loop length" doesn't seem to do anything at all...

Post

Right-click a sequence part
Choose "Edit Loop Length"
Enter the loop length in Measures.Beats.Ticks

Examples:

"1" = 1 measure
"0.1" = 1 beat (you could also do ".1")
"0.0.600" = 600 ticks which is half a beat

You should then see the new loop lines in the sequence part.

Now I'm getting somewhere!

Another suggestion:
Each mixing strip has a volume slider, which presumably is set to 0db.

Could the db level also be shown as digits, as this would make it easier to fine tune the levels and, importantly, to be able to return it to 0db after any adjustments.

Perhaps a double-click could also return the level to 0db.

Paul.

Also, when you're copying and pasting midi notes, I think that the source notes should be de-selected when the paste is applied. This saves having to de-select everything and then re-select the newly-pasted notes to move them into their correct position. Try it to see what I mean.

:)

hm i can't see any loop line..

is "4.1.000" good form?
Maybe I'm making a mistake...

Marco :)

Try this:
Play or draw one bar of midi notes.
Now, right click the sequence and choose Edit Loop Length.
Enter 1.0.0
This means that your loop is one bar long.
Now for the clever bit. Get the pencil tool and use it to expand the seqence object to however long you need it to be.

Even better, when you have your basic loop, you can use the 'break' tool ][ to split the loop, move the new parts whever you want, then use the pencil tool to extend these new parts for continue the loop elsewhere in the song.

Jo, I think you're going to hate me :smack:

Any chance that a 'glue' tool can be added which would allow you to join parts together?

Along with the chooser, pencil, eraser and split tool, these should form the complete set of editing tools.
Cheers,
Paul.

You keep warm - and do try to avoid catching Bronchitis like I did. That wasn't nice.
